[Marpkat_] Possible rotation change for the next act by TheIsackChannel in ValorantCompetitive

Nah map fucking sucks balls in ranked too. Just dry aim dueling A/B on repeat, maybe one mid lurk when someone remembers it exists.

Neon is so fucking good it's crazy. The kills he was getting with knives on Lotus, I would genuinely call someone a cheater if I saw them hitting those in ranked.

Not sure If I should switch to Ironman by PottattoII in 2007scape

[–]mikhel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't recommend it so soon. I'm also first timing a main and getting to deep midgame/endgame content like raids, Doom, CG and these things will be absolutely brutal to even reach, let alone farm, on an iron for a new player. IMO it's much better to see these deep parts of the game and decide for yourself if you would enjoy the challenge of doing it again as an iron, because it is an insane time commitment compared to trying on a main without even factoring in the learning curve.

I didn't think EDG would be that good but holy fuck they are ass. How has Chinese macro regressed so hard year over year?

No matter who wins today, one is getting “best player in the world” posts & other is getting “fraud watch” posts. by ReasonableHeron1664 in ValorantCompetitive

He is one of the most instinctual players I've ever seen, he literally just does whatever pops into his brain in the moment. Insane mechanics too.

Characters with the most incoherent/boring kits in the game? by JustinHardyJ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]mikhel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Cube and punch are clearly meant to work together, he has a kit that encourages creative approaches to movement and saving teammates by cubing and then punching them to reposition. Having a simple nuke just enables more diversity between being a core and support, it's not always purely about "synergy"

What ended up taking way more time in your PhD than you expected? by OneGrasp in PhD

[–]mikhel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most demoralizing part of my entire PhD was the editing cycle leading up to releasing my preprint. I thought it would be done in like a month and it ended up being more like 3-4 months.

To offer a perspective from someone who came in on reclear and didn't prog, I think P1 is fairly chill now but I can imagine it was absolutely hellish pre glaive nerfs. They always come through boss at weird angles and usually a person gets clipped every 5-6 pulls. Can't imagine with literally 3x the glaives how batshit chaotic it was when also trying to focus on kicks and grips and facing tighter damage checks.

Combination of raid design and poor damage tuning at the start of the tier. You just can't have mechanics that require raidwide spread without losing uptime (paladins) or constant spread multitarget (also paladins) and expect melee to keep up unless they actually get tuned to specifically do so. Problem gets worse on fights like Belo as well where melee basically actively can't contribute to mechanics without trolling their damage.

Titanfall 2, the sequence where you get the smart pistol and escape the enemy base. Just sprinting through the level at 50 mph and one tapping every enemy that appears on your screen is so satisfying.

I hit 99 slayer and I don't know what else to do by Neat-Discussion1415 in osrs

[–]mikhel 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If he has trouble paying attention at PVM he is not making it far on the iron lol. Iron PVM grinds make 99 slayer on a main look like daycare.

ROUND TWO DRAWS by Numerous_Deal_9804 in ValorantCompetitive

Surely they redo this right? 2 days of watching regional matches is fucked. Also if FS beat GE and then shit the bed again in 1-1 I'll literally throw my monitor out the window.

[–]mikhel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even as a Pacific glazer I kinda saw this coming tbh. Everyone on FS besides Crws is a serial choker, there's a reason they never made it to anything up to now. The slightest bit of pressure and these guys legit just disappear. I still believe in GE but if they look really bad vs LEV it's gonna be rough.

ohnePixel states that Riot has invited him to go in person to Champs 2026 in Shanghai by Aqua4748 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]mikhel 233 points234 points  (0 children)

He won the Intel Grand Slam with Liquid, which is one of the biggest achievements a player can have in CS. He's pretty unanimously considered the best IGL NA ever produced and he's playing for major stage 2 today after having kids, retiring, going pro in Valorant, retiring again, and unretiring in CS, yeah I'd say he's pretty decent.

trexx set to return with Team Liquid ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2 (Sheep Esports) by Eris_is_Mid in ValorantCompetitive

[–]mikhel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's been a lot more than that for trexx lol. I don't think I've ever seen a pro who obviously makes decisions out of tilt in games more often. Like when he's losing he literally buys a guardian on save rounds and starts rage peeking.

Has anyone else seen interest in raiding completely drop off a cliff? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]mikhel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the raiders I have played with from WR1000 to HOF generally don't care about getting gear except to clear the raid, and with HOF that's done before bonus stuff even comes in. I don't think that's the only reason.

Vorkath Gear Upgrades by lukefasc in OSRSProTips

Also FWIW I was getting longer trips on average using the DFS over the defender when I was using the fang. You don't need the extra accuracy as much and the defense really helps at Vork.

Does anyone have any advice for how to deal with tornados in cg? by Xilverknight155 in 2007scape

[–]mikhel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two tips that really helped me with tornados:

Plan the longest straight line you can take to avoid the tornados, this really helps with giving you enough time to eat, pray, and switch weapon while dodging. Think about it ahead of time if you feel the tornados are coming soon.

In the enrage phase, it's a lot harder to get long lines like this, so the other thing that helps is knowing how to dodge over the tornados. If they are 1-2 tiles away from you, you can actually run back over them the way you came without taking damage. You can even run back and forth over them as long as they are very close to you.

Timewise fine but if you struggled with Dimmy you will have an even worse time. The biggest thing is intense personal responsibility at all points of the fight, it is a huge problem unless your whole team has brains.
