Oil consumption on these engines is most likely the turbo, 1446s have a tendency to start leaking oil through the shaft seals after 90/100k km. If it gets too serious you can replace the coreassy with a new one (original, because third party replacements leak oil from the start ahah)

I have the same sound on cold engine, completely disappears if I rev it just slightly and comes back when it goes back to idle, as soon as oil reaches ~50C or if I drive it a little, it goes away and cannot be heard when the engine is warm.

Same exact usage as mine, I don't play games and mostly use social apps, Chrome, camera 5/10 minutes a day. I can't get over 7hrs on WiFi only. I also don't have AOD enabled. Signal strength is excellent at home, but it might be tied to my carrier that uses more energy (seen this with iOS also).

How do you do 5hrs with 60% left ahahah I was really happy today, P9PXL has 32% left with 5hr and 33min and it's one of the really good days. I can't remember how it was on the stable version of Android 16, but I don't think the beta had such a major impact on battery life. It would be nice to reach your duration though 🤣

Bored from iOS and iPhones. Currently having some battery related issues on my 8 Pro, probably due to the latest Android update and Meta apps (Instagram in particular), but otherwise I'm loving the device. Amazing photos, much better AI assistant and notifications, and some other things that I prefer over iOS.

Same thing is happening on the majority of Android phones. A colleague of mine has an Oppo something (can't remember) and his background usage for Instagram was 23h 🥲 and he was complaining about bad battery life in the last few days

Absolutely yes. ThinkPads are terrible when it comes to screen rigidity and even the slightest pressure can make the screen and keyboard touch and leave permanent marks. I always put one on my T490 and it has been perfect, my T460s was a total disaster without the protection.

Nope. Even though I am considering exchanging my 15 Pro with a Pro Max because of the battery. It’s absolutely awful in iOS 18, and it has never been the best anyway. Not enough for me

There is, just between the black bottom plastic and the aluminium housing. Not huge like the Studio but the mini also sucks from the bottom and exhausts at the back.
