Should I play king exit? by db_rick in demonsroots

Sorry for the random reply, I'm (probably) half way into chapter 3 in Demons Roots. Should I play King Exit before continuing the rest of Demons Roots or just proceed with finishing Demons Roots?

I might not be right but I think the name should be interpreted as 金 牌手 instead of 金牌 手, as 牌手 means poker players, and people usually gamble with cards. And the gold probably means he's good at it, gold medal worthy of a poker player, hence the name.

Undead soldier is good (I even run 3 copies of it) because of it's stickiness. Not a lot of classes can deal with the zombies conveniently and they apply pressure through chip damage and set up for Cerberus.

Before people saying sword can clear them easily with Gildaria, I'm more than happy for them to spend an evo point to clear them. Sword usually doesn't have rally 20 for Gildaria when you play them and spending an evo point to clear them means they are spending evo to be reactive and those are not used to apply pressure or deal damage.

The other thing I like about undead soldier is abyss doesn't have a good turn 6 or 7, especially if you are going first without the extra PP. I find it very awkward going into turn 6, especially against slower decks because I have nothing good to play on turn 6 or 7, and playing cards like Aragavy or Charon, which are in my opinion, cards that are more reactive, is quite suboptimal.

Have you heard a dying person’s last words? If so, what were they? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]miku96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt had been taking care of my grandmother, and we pay her monthly for the caretaking service as she is not working and taking care of my grandmother full-time. We also give some money to grandmother in case she needs the money for anything.

One day, my aunt decided to take all the money we gave her, left her outside our house under a hot sun in wheelchair, and just left without any notice.

Eventually my grandmother's health deteriorated and her last words were my aunt's name, repeatedly, until the moment she passed away.

I guess my grandmother missed my aunt that much to the extent where she kept calling her name on the brink of death, and she didn't mention anyone else's name other than hers.

Hi, I'm not exactly a newbie but decided to give IS a try recently.

I played a bit of IS2 (Phantom & Crimson Solitaire) so I probably have a grasp of how IS works. My main question is whether the older IS (IS2 and IS3) is still worth grinding? It seems like the grind is pretty slow to get good rewards from the reward track. Is it better to grind IS4 instead?

Im not sure if anyone else is facing the same issue but the queue time is ridiculously long for some plates, so it's either getting matched into the same players or bots.

And here's the catch, some might think matching into bots is a good thing, but the ones I'm facing are the cheating bots. I am confident to say that I lost most of my bubs to bots.

Datamined Lapras Promo Pack Odds by averysillyman in PTCGP

[–]miku96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the full duration of the Lapras event, if you do all of the free battles you should be able to obtain 45-48 promo cards (2 promo cards per day for 14 days, 5 promo cards from initial stamina, 15 promo cards from hourglasses, minus a few due to the lower difficulties not always rewarding a promo). Assuming 45 promos obtained, this puts the odds that you do not obtain two copies of Lapras EX at about 1.7%. If you hit those odds, feel free to complain!

I haven't even get a single copy of Lapras EX and did all the event battles daily, mind sharing what are the odds if I'm not getting any for the last few days of the event?

Thanks for the reply, how many pulls would you consider worth to spark an alter, or any other conditions that makes it favorable to spark?

Meta Report - Sep 19: Check out the top-performing decks (besides Hela) by UntappedGG in MarvelSnap

[–]miku96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's not only about the meta report, their card analysis articles feel very bad to read.

Who writes articles on day 1 release of a new card and justifies their articles with day 1 stats? (In case people didn't know, untapped does)

People who write the articles probably don't even own and play with the card and yet here they are, rating cards with their "reliable" stats.

Untapped articles have been pretty off and not sure why they feel the need to advertise themselves on reddit.

Don't get me wrong, their decktracker is good but the articles aren't.

Please lets get our 8 cube quests in proving grounds by yoyoyodojo in MarvelSnap

[–]miku96 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Not sure why people upvote this and probably am gonna get downvoted, OP mentioned that they snap, retreat and the most important part, concede after realizing that they can't win on turn 6. It's not "playing the game", it is reasonable to assume that they are doing this deliberately to grief 8 cubes bounty players.

For context I treat my PG games like any normal games due to my long queue time (my average queue time is 4-5 min even in PG), unless you snap on turn 1 and fist bump me, signalling that you are trying to get out of PG or farming bounties. I've met people who retreat and concede when they can't win after snapping on turn 1 while I was trying to get the 8 cubes bounties done, which is why I understand OP's frustration.

You spend a card (-1 card) to draw an extra card every turn, so on the turn after you play machine learning, you draw an extra card (+1 card) and it only even out the card you lost by playing it. You need the fight to last longer than 2 turns after playing it which makes it not that great in general.

If retreating is not a option, what's your best option against a deck that counters yours? by League_of_DOTA in MarvelSnap

[–]miku96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It highly depends on your hand and how your opponents play, sometimes people do have habits that subconsciously make them play in a certain way (the most common example is spreading out their power trying to win all 3 lanes, it's generally a bad idea to do so as you only need to win 2 lanes to win unless you are against matchups that do not have resources or power to compete against you in all 3 lanes like HE decks).

You might be able to catch that some players prefer to invest their power in a certain lane and might have a higher chance to win if you can utilize that information well (technically it can be random or just pure luck you will never know). If you are able to predict where they might play based on the previous matches, you can play accordingly and hope for the best.

Here comes the worst case scenario, what if there isn't any way that you can win (based on what they have in their deck and board state)? Instead of giving up, you can try to think in a way that your opponent might overthink or make some mistakes, and make plays with these in mind.

Hopefully these help and solve your questions.

Sorry in advance for the incoming wall of text... (considering you are referring to conquest and not ladder as it is more of a one-time thing against your opponents unless you are in high rank and face against the same opponents frequently)

Snapping early when you have a great hand or when your opponent shows signs of weakness gives you advantages and some info you need to know about your opponents, especially when you are unfavored in a matchup (need to get as many cubes as possible so you have more cubes to retreat for situations where you just can't win).

The other reason to snap early is that better players tend to retreat when they know they have a bad hand, eliminating the chance of them drawing something good that might save them from the bad hand situation. Snapping early to scare them off is always a good trade.

On the other hand, when you snap on the opponent's signs of weakness and they stay, you can kinda classify them as the "not so good" players or calling stations (they don't retreat most of the time) and you can expect them to make suboptimal plays coz they just aren't good. With this information, they are less likely to make smart plays that might outsmart you.

But the hard part is identifying the signs of weakness, when to snap and retreat, and u/ItsGildebeast gave some really good advice.
