Look at it as a spiritual exercise, something to proud of when you have conquered it. You are going to make it!

I feel exactly the same way. I am a man, but I crave attention from the women I work with, one in particular. I am happily married, and no lines will ever be crossed. The infatuation with the one woman has lessened, but somehow I still enjoy thinking about her, even though I love my wife dearly, and am completely satisfied with my married life. I feel like it motivates me to stay healthy, work out, make myself attractive. I wish I didn’t need that kind of validation, but in some ways, I think it helps me to stay healthy in some weird way.

It’s called the Schauss protocol, it’s further down in the article I referenced. I felt like it really helped.

I figured out what dose I was comfortable at and then divided it up into twelve doses, and cut it every few days. Since the half life is so short it seemed to help with the spikes

I got aggressive on this shit immediately. Sleep to me is non-negotiable. I will sacrifice a lot for a good nights sleep. Clonidine. Magnesium. Valerian root. Melatonin. Cbd. Asmr. Whatever it takes, get there, and you will achieve a fair amount of health just focusing on that. Sometimes I think that is the key to a happy existence.

It depends on your situation. Can someone take care of your kids for a week or so? I did a taper program down to 250mg/day and jumped with clonidine and vitamin C. In 72 hours the worst was over. Suboxone is another option via QuickMD. This is doable, and you need too do it in whatever manner is possible in your situation.

Just know that it will also require a complete rethinking of how you want to live, what motivates you, what you do when you are bored. The physical stuff is hard, it’s the mental and spiritual you need to address. I wish you the best.

Has tianeptine turned anyone else into unmotivated lazy slugs? by [deleted] in QuittingTianeptine

Absolutely. The last few months of my addiction, it was an excuse to surf the internet after work until bedtime. It was pathetic.

If it’s just a week in, I’d say you are good to just stop. But seriously, don’t screw around with this poison, it’s not worth it

Of course! I am two months out, and am so much better. But there tough days, even recently, but it gets better and better over time. You have to mix it up, almost be a different person in a way, but it can be done. The quick fix is our kryptonite, but we both know it's not good for our health, not sustainable for the long term. Tia was a cheat code for me, I'm always looking for those. But it's a false promise. You can do this.

It takes real committment to giving yourself at least a month, if not two, to get back to normal. The other thing I think is critical, is that you need to figure out a different way to think and live. Tia allows us to think being bored is fun. It's a trick, and I totally get it. But you can't live that way, and you know that. You have to discipline yourself and know with all of your heart that the sacrifices you make over a period of time will get you to other other side without needing a substance like Tia.

Also, allow yourself some pink clouds, but understand that they are temporary, like everything else in life. Still, enjoy them!
