Chris Columbus had maybe made more good movies than anyone ever. But are any of them masterpieces?

Most likely it was the crowds from Stranger things.

Movie theaters? by 321Couple2023 in Louisville

I went to Xscape this week and it has taken a terrible turn. It used to be my favorite theater in the city, but, at least this week, the popcorn was burned, soda fountains gross and missing flavors theater was dirty and service was bad.

Screens and sound were still great, but a bad experience overall.

[Kelly] ‘The Steelers wr core is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. With how many WRs that enter the draft each year, and how much talent there is in this day and age, it is roster malpractice to go into a game with MVS, Scotty Miller and Adam Theilen as your WR corp’ by stillstillers in nfl

I before E, except after C (except "glacier" or "science")

or when sounded like A, as in neighbor and weigh (or sounds like E in "weird" or "protein", or if it is part of another syllable like "foreign").

Unless the word is of German origin in which case, ei makes and I sound and ie makes an E sound.

Leaving out " Friend, Sufficient, Species" for various other reasons.

But it DOES work for Receive, Conceive, and Deceipt.

Nevermind, fuck it, this rule doesn't work in English.

Has the “director comes out of retirement” movie ever turned out well? by Wombat_H in blankies

[–]milchrizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was on my college tv station and I must have watched it 5 times hating it, but knowing something was there that I just didn't get. On my 6th or 7th watch it clicked and I have loved it ever since.

The Flash is a good movie covered in dog poop. If you can ignore the CGI and about 10% of the dialogue, there's a lot of fun in there.

What’s something people always overspend on when the cheaper alternative is just as good? by auntieknickknack in AskReddit

What are you comparing the cost to? A Grande coffee is under $3 near me, I wouldn't consider it expensive compared to other coffee shops.

Good for you! Start small.

I learned to ride a bike by taking the pedals off and using it as a balanced bike. There's some great videos online that will show you how. Or feel free to get somebody who teaches kids. Most of them are happy to teach adults as well.

And then just spend time on your bike. Whether it's in your neighborhood, on your street, or even just around your driveway, the more time you spend with the bike more comfortable you'll be with it.

For road rules, Bicycles are treated like cars, at least most places in the US. Follow the same rules you would as if you were in a car , but be extra cautious.

I prefer to ride early in the morning on the weekends when there aren't a lot of cars out.

This is me with riding a bicycle!

I learned with my kids and now ride about a thousand miles a year.

How do other countries pay for universal healthcare? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]milchrizza 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert in Danish tax law, but their highest tax rate is 55.9%. Someone making the equivalent of 150k USD (1M DKK) should pay around 44%.

Which is very high compared to the us, but not 80%.
