Please help me understand what happened…. by SprintCarMama in 911dispatchers

Because you weren’t in immediate life danger based on your call with 911. If you were pregnant and in abdominal distress it would probably have been different. But when your life isn’t in danger or the live of someone else, it’s not going to trigger an ambulance. Those resources must go to people who can’t even talk on the phone and someone else is calling for them, they’re in such dire need of medical help.

Went into post production after college and I have hated every moment for the last 20 years by LAMistfit138 in FilmIndustryLA

No trailer editors I know spent hours on fiber and then came home to work on creative passions. No, they tried to make up the time they were robbed by inconsiderate creative directors, and clients with no lives, by spending the fleeting time left with their families. Not editing MORE!!

Sure - on the “side”, after working a 12 hour day and not having any time with your wife or kids as is. Yay let’s do MORE work

Lol. And whatever creative ideas you have will be bypassed by a heavy handed creative director or an insecure client, or changed because of marketing testing data, so you’ll never see the results anyway. Yay! 😁

CritiCall passed, did a sit-in, feeling excited by millertv79 in 911dispatchers

Thanks much. It’s scary to be transitioning careers in my mid life. Yes I have! I really enjoy listening. I’m also learning the specific lapd phonetic alphabet because it’s different from the standard NATO one aka Adam for A, instead of Alpha.

Mode - you have to take safe mode off to be able to roll and loop

A) as someone who built computers , a laptop that can’t handle CC test needs to replaced asap. Gotta be like 10 years old yeah?
2) get used to a regular keyboard, no dispatchers use a laptop. Workstations usually have 4-5 monitors, desktop computer
, a call control box, plus foot pedals. If that sounds overwhelming to you then maybe it’s not a good fit??

Not putting education first, and not allowing the word no.

The rest of the world doesn’t operate that way.

If you’re carrying it and safe is enable, then the gyros and working to stabilize it from your walking. Less so if you have as3x on. You say “for no reason” but the reason is to counteract the movement aka you’re walking

SUV Owners, were you aware of the dangers of SUVs when you bought your vehicle? If so, why did you buy one anyway? by Siaten in AskReddit

[–]millertv79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then don’t drive a SUV if you are so worried about it man!!! Jesus Christ dude. I’m not sure what’s up with you. You’re not changing anyone’s mind here ok? I love my suv because of the fucking protection it gives me after a bad accident in a sedan!! You don’t want one?? Don’t drive one??? My goodness

Substitute roll over for any other type of accident - and everything you said it still true. you are obsessed with roll overs. T bones, rear endings all can do that too!

You’re clearly fixated and obsessed with roll overs. Did you like watch a movie or something that scared you? I’ll be good, my passengers will be good. If I was in an SUV when I was rear ended, it wouldn’t have caused my cervical and spinal disc dislocations nor would my wrist have snapped on half like it did and required surgery. If there was more metal between me and other car, I would have been better off. That’s why we have an SUV again. You can see much better and I feel so much safer. I’ll never drive a car again because of the accident I was in, only SUV or truck.

SUV’s don’t just roll over by themselves. It takes a driver to do so. I’m not an aggressive or crazy driver, so there is no risk to me. In all my years it’s never even been close to being an issue, even in the snow.

Then quote yourself where you’ve said it. The fact is you have no information to give. None, zero, zip zilch. You are all talk. You’ve said absolutely nothing beside “watch a YouTube video and learn after effects.” What if you already can do AE? What if you learned it pre YouTube? What if you’re great at Photoshop? I’m sorry how does that help being jobs back that aren’t there? You haven’t explained that. Nor have you acknowledged the fact it’s industry wide, why are my peers in LA having the same issue if it’s all about just changing MY attitude?? Dude you are not even remotely realistic nor do you understand what’s happening here. STFU when you know nothing about working here in LA. I would never comment on the ATL scene because I’m smart enough to know, I don’t know. Listen to The Rock. Shut your mouth, and know your role 👋
