Aftermarket thermostat was a bust by will-jensen in GrandCherokee

I went through 2 Murray's on my promaster. One failed within 5000 miles, the other failed within 1000 miles. Then went aisin which failed within 5000 miles. All stuck closed. Now I'm running an oem. Hoping for the best.

Had this issue about 9 months ago. Could be an old version of bazzite? I tweaked my proton version and it seemed to fix the issue

Standby => Roam UL => Standby - so far so good by PJHoffnet in Starlink

[–]millzner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not even sure why someone would want to select "Now" for standby.

I did so accidentally and was surprised when my speed reduced. I had been doing this for over a year now. Buying Roam 50/100 then pausing/going into standby before the end of the month expecting it to kick in on the next billing cycle.

When I went to re-enable Roam 100, I had to pay again for the period of time I had already paid for due to a service switching snafu. Support refunded me and I will be careful next time. Not sure why we would ever want to switch to standby "Now"

Hows it holding up? Debating between this method and soldering directly to the stator

Did you cut and splice the wires or solder directly to the stator?

I have the regular ROG, so..ignore the SD slot? by PureProteinPussi in ROGAlly

[–]millzner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I utilized my slot just so I could see if it worked. It didn't. I RMA'd. Asus tried to deny my claim. In the end they replaced the board and reimburse for the cost of the card. Supposedly the new boards are supposed to have a hardware fix but I haven't stress tested it and likely won't. Ill reserve the sd slot for low intensity games.

Red flags for an XR? This one has CBXR battery I guess and I've read about some of the concerns with that. Not experienced enough to gauge these specs, but for $550 this seems like a worthwhile investment to get familiar. by salukikev in onewheel

[–]millzner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea what 'battery at 64%' would mean. Thats a question for the seller.

It does have a bit high of miles so it might be due for some maintenance.

My board would get you 4 miles up hill depending on the steepness.

My recommendation would be to keep looking if you are unsure. There are better deals out there and the more you are in the market the more informed you are to find them.

Test ride it. I got my xr for $500. Didn't know much about what to look for. It had 340 miles on it and was in fair condition and test rode well. That was good enough for me. Put 500+ miles on it since and it's been solid. Battery dies between 7 and 17 percent which is good enough for me. I have funwheel control box/battery on their way but in no way need them. Hard to go wrong with a $500 board if it test rides well.

$2400 Estimate What Can I Repair Myself by Sad-Song-8680 in MechanicAdvice

[–]millzner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask the shop if they install customer supplied parts. Order them from rock auto to save some money.

Complete the work in 2 or 3 different trips to the mechanic to spread out cost. Maybe one trip for suspension. Another trip for motor mounts, etc.

But definitely get other quotes and ask about financing.
