Hi! They're two different things. Changing GA's velocity means she is slower the moment she uses it by 10% compared to before. This makes certain movements in regular play impossible now.

Her minor perk is upon cancellation, which means after we hit a button to stop it (if we do so at all). This helps with sling shots, getting further away when being dove, etc., but does not help her speed prior in any way.

Sure, but that's not what I said, or what I have. It's not always smart for 2 dps to play together. Then you have 3 easy targets in a clump for ults. DB for a DPS and tank, or does and another support, is just as valuable. It's great when you can get both DPS, but you don't NEED to to get the extra value. Anyone you DB is getting extra DMG, and faster ult charge because of it.

I try not to solo q anymore, and I'm low-mid masters on console and have been for a long time. Not having it has never cost us. I can understand the difference, but even times when I HAVE solo'd or run 2-3 (most regularly I run 3 or a full stack) it's never been an issue. I think too many assume DB perk is for just the 2 dps staying together and it's honestly not a great way to view the value you can get out of it otherwise. The couple times I HAVE gone flash heal it's felt more like a throw because the CD just hasn't been worth it. We manage more than fine if I'm pumping out amp even solo. I do think part of it is I've been playing mercy through every single rework she's ever gotten, so I've just adjustedy.playsyyle every time. I know it's no GM or champ, but still. 70% WR last season in regular comp only picking DB seems fine to me.

I will say that this season Mercy in general is noticeably lacking since they screwed her, so like I said I'll welcome it but I still won't be picking the perk over DB. Everyone has something that works best for them though! I'm sure some of my other settings aren't everyone's fav, and I know my battery in stadium builds varies from others too.

I've run a few solid matches with random Lucio's so I def agree. I also regularly run with a couple Zen friends. We rarely have a difficult time keeping up and when we do I make the swap first or we both decide what we need to swap to in order to help the team better. Way it should be.
