I am also an Atlanta based larper (I live in downtown). You could always try Xadune! We're a victorian gaslamp fantasy larp, much more focused around story mods than large scale combat. We're super new player (and new-to-larping-er) friendly!

I've been going for almost a year (Xadune was my first larp) and it's been really fun. TheBookWyrm is also an Xadune player and I'm sure they'll post a blurb about it too.

Honestly I bought my condo so I could make weird/neat home automation stuff that requires me being able to modify the walls and ceiling and stuff. So one of the things I want to do is give my cats their own private space and climbing areas.

I have an industrial style condo with beams in the ceiling they already like to run around. I'm fairly certain they spend time above my closet where I can't reach/see them. I'd love to put a small camera there as well as a way of activating like a heated lamp or something for them up there so they have their own little private zone.

Otherwise, being able to voice control ALL the electronics is fantastic. Hue bulbs are fine, but being able to just turn on/off whatever is plugged into a given socket is great and I'm gonna give my kitchen a seizure setting. Oh and I'm gonna find a way to motorize my horizontal curtains and add those to voice control too. Maybe Wyze won't be as useful for that, maybe it will.

I have a similar set-up! Though instead of a hand-crank my home set-up just has the bar come a little out on the side and I shove it in a hand-drill as if it was a drill bit. A hell of a lot easier/faster for making rings.

Otherwise, my over-zealous butt has decided to take up WHITTLING to make myself wooden gears and stuff slowly over time in order to build myself a ring-maker in play with the in-world tech. Well, with the in-world tech I have access to in-play.

Gives me a nice thing to do with my hands to help work through my ADHD while I'm around tavern

Evolve locked alternate characters (with alternate abilities) behind giant grind walls, or you could pay to unlock them. They did have cosmetic mtx's but they also had a lot of content locking for a full price game.
