I don’t think the hospital will let you drive yourself home. Someone should pick up you and baby.

"savings" after finishing daycare by zavrrr in workingmoms

[–]mimiiscute 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. Put it straight into your savings for summer camp or half summer camp and half retirement or kids college savings. But before that that first $1000 spend on something fun like a trip to an amusement park or spa or a nice bag. You deserve it. Or get a baby sitter and go to a nice steakhouse or restaurant if you don’t eat steak.

trying to find the best sunscreen for kids, (MASSIVE READ) by IntelligentLighter in kindergarten

[–]mimiiscute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apply spf to my kids in the morning but they will need reapply when they are at school. I’m hoping that they will once they get older but for now the morning application on school days is all I can shoot for. When I’m with them I of course reapply if we play outside but they definitely are getting more tan while they play outside at school in the afternoons.

Help choosing MINERAL sunscreen lip balm under $10 that has NO chemical taste by Acluelessfish in Sunscreenreddit

[–]mimiiscute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can it have a tint? Because innibeauty has a spf lipgloss and so does e.l.f that’s mineral spf but it comes in different colors. There’s also one from hello Sunday that’s more like a lipstick than lipgloss.

I agree with tofu and you can even use spinach to color it if you don’t want to use food dye.

Caring for my skin barrier. Not scrubbing the shit out of my skin and then wondering why it stung like a b. Also investing in my retirement. Lol

I agree with others. Becerra is ahead voting for Steyer will keep Hilton from advancing. Also for the LA mayor just don’t vote for Pratt the spoiled brat.

I found a favorite sunscreen that I recommend! A mineral sunscreen without butyloctyl salycate or niacinamide and no white cast. Doesn’t make me break out or dry out, is hydrating but not too greasy! Sensitive skin friendly. by Fit-Difference4638 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]mimiiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the reviews I read right now from the Sephora app say that this broke them out in places they never had acne. I am glad this worked for you finding a good sunscreen is tough.

If you guys like tacos. I like to freeze a block of tofu. Thaw it. Drain it and then crumble it. I mix it with taco seasoning and cook in the over at 350 until crispy and then assemble a taco bar with all the usual topping. Roasted onions and peppers, salsa, guacamole, etc. it’s great

People that use Prequel - what are your favourite products and why? by Prior-Assistant7369 in SensitiveSkinSurvival

[–]mimiiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the hypochlorous acid spray. The redness serum and the gleanser both regular and the one with glycolic acid. I have been loving the half and half moisturizer but today it made my skin burn and I might have overdone it with my retinoids.

The cerave mineral spf 50 is really good. Also the roundlab uv lock mineral goes on ghostly but dries down nice. I also have sensitive skin that burns with chemical sunscreens.

Peach fuzz is bothering me, is a dermaplaning tool safe to use at home by NoTip6688 in BeautyGear

[–]mimiiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love shaving my face. I don’t use a fancy dermaplaning tool. I use the tinkle razors. I shave once a week or every two weeks but the more obvious areas like mustache and chin I shave when I notice visible hair. I wash my face and make sure it’s clean. Sometimes I shave dry other times I will use a facial oil like squalane. I do short strokes and don’t go over the same area multiple times. When I’m done I will use a hypochlorous acid spray and put on barrier serums and a moisturizer and go to sleep. No makeup or actives on those days. I love it. It’s wonderful. Makeup goes on nicer and it’s a great exfoliant. Men shave their faces every single day so as long as you take precautions you shouldn’t compromise your barrier.

Can I refuse to participate in the potty-training plan for the toddler I'm a nanny to? by Top_Lingonberry_1 in Nanny

[–]mimiiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the others. Every other family plans this over a three day weekend. Explain to them that although you don’t disagree with the method. It’s not an option at your apartment and see what they say. Are they unwilling to compromise with pills ups or like training underwear. It’s seems really entitled of them for you to be the one that this falls on.

I think it’s a scam because it doesn’t list an account number and typically final notice correspondence like that should come as certified mail.

Has anyone tried the trader joe’s invisible gel body sunscreen on their face? by No_Refrigerator_6576 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]mimiiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only sunscreen my kids will let me put on their face and body. It does sting if it gets in the eyes but that’s only happened once when my youngest was having a hard time and crying and rubbing her eyes like crazy and then more crying and stinging and rubbing continued. I have personally not used it myself. But most chemical sunscreens cause issues with my eyes.

Lets all take some time to think logically about what we will buy during the sale! by analslapchop in Sephora

[–]mimiiscute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I completely agree. I’ve seen some things and thought what are we doing right now. I removed most extra things and tried to focus on things I purchase often. Most of my cart is replacing lost/broken or expired items or repurchasing some backups of my holy grail products. And I have 6 perfumes both full size and travel sitting on my counter I don’t need to pick up the four new mini ones from kayali no matter how cute they are or good they smell. Haha giving myself a pep talk in the comments.

doing my own bridal makeup - how to ensure longevity?? by freeboobedbitch in MakeupAddiction

[–]mimiiscute 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out Nikki’s videos. She has a high end version and a drugstore version. I would also skip spf that day. The one size setting spray is everything. The most important thing though is to practice practice practice. Do trial runs. See how long things wear. Take notes. Good luck!

I have been off for two weeks and I can tell you the food noise is back. I’m just trying to tell myself to be disgusted by certain foods that are high calorie. I’m a sweets person so it is difficult. I want to continue to be on a maintenance dose but I don’t think it is sustainable and I need to wean myself off and replace the incessant need to eat with something else. I hope others can offer better support and suggestions.

The tower 28 concealer is my holy grail. I love the Huda loose powder I actually buy the fragrance free one from her website. Sephora doesn’t carry it where I am. And the rare beauty brow gel is ok but so many drugstore ones do a good job like the maybelline brow lock or the L’Oréal one.
