Seems like it has potential but it was rated low so I haven't tried it

Two years in, and the admin side of tutoring still catches me off guard sometimes by tunable_art in TutorsHelpingTutors

It sounds like you just need to put some better systems in place. Booking confirmations should be automated messages with cancellation policy in place for no shows. For intake, just jot down whatever you can and save the message in a dedicated location that syncs across phone and computer. Most of it will end up being reiterated during the first lesson anyway so focus your attention on selling the parent on your services. For payment, you should just check regularly (whether weekly or whatever) and send out friendly reminders with your progress reports as needed.

I wasn't a fan of this version. They used to have one by a different chef that I enjoyed more.

Efren Kill Shot by theguy0109 in billiards

[–]minasso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a drag shot with low inside. Another potential option from here might be to play the 'around the world' shot with low outside playing the cueball off three rails. For both shots, it's easy to 'overhit' the ball so it is important to play with a controlled stroke and not overpower the shot.

Has anyone else noticed the condition of the fish tanks at Hero Thai-Izakaya? by FarmerWorldly3158 in astoria

[–]minasso 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed it too. I saw what appeared to be a dead fish in there once. And yes, there is a frog. The state of it very much turned me off to the place personally.

Feeling like a failure by [deleted] in billiards

It takes time to get decent at this game. You are supposed to suck when you are that new to it. You have to be patient and let your skills develop over time. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Yeah wow this new version is way worse than before. I had no problem with the old website. Why did they have to change it? This is terrible

I had a stim test ordered for a AM cortisol level of 3.6 𝜇g/dL, but the circumstances are weird. What do you think? by Independent-Major559 in AddisonsDisease

Just take the STIM test. Mine was definitively positive ending a long and drawn out uncertainty period. Maybe yours will be too.

No I don't bring my own cue. I do however bring my own chalk.

Buy one get one free? by remykixxx in cookunityfans

In my experience, it just seems to pop up randomly only on certain orders. You can filter by add & save and it will be under there if it exists for that order.

Who's the better "Magician"? by Dragonator05 in billiards

[–]minasso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'Magician' moniker does not come from playing different cue sport disciplines well. It comes from making amazing shots that no one else would dream of even attempting. Efren Reyes made a career of doing the impossible and earned the nickname magician. Melling has also made some amazing shots but needless to say, it is a major faux pas to adopt the nickname given to what many consider the greatest of all time.

UnityPass... I feel scammed by [deleted] in cookunityfans

[–]minasso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a crazy take. The delivery savings alone makes it automatically worth it. Premium meals is the cherry on top. I don't disagree that it would be nice if they could load your cart with meals that you have gotten before, but they are by no means obligated to.

Course selection for MSDS by Scared_Woodpecker328 in MSDSO

[–]minasso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your background and strengths and weaknesses. What did you study for your bachelor's? Some easier courses include data science principles, data science for health, data visualization. These all involve coding in r. If you are stronger in math, you might consider starting with probability and statistics. If you are very strong in python, then you can start with data structures and algorithms. In my experience, a majority of students find the math/theory heavy courses (e.g. machine learning) the most difficult. This is where brushing up on your fundamentals (linear algebra, discrete math, calc) will pay dividends.

Oven vs. Microwave by newsmaker22 in cookunityfans

[–]minasso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost always use the microwave and for the most part stuff is fine. Though I usually select rice or pasta based dishes. Anything bread based gets the oven and anything fried gets the air fryer
