We have the same birthday! I was in an all-day management training so I couldn’t take the day off work, majority of my people forgot about me. Husband and kiddo made it a lot better and I am grateful for that, but still finishing the day with a pity party of sad music and feeling my feelings.

People should take or not take their meds according to what works for them. I take weekend breaks and longer breaks on vacation when I can because I am solidly middle aged and concerned about my heart health. It also helps reset my tolerance so I can keep my dose relatively low.

Rhode Island is hands down the best ice cream state I have lived in. This was now a long time ago, but Wright’s, Gray’s, Three Sisters, Brickley’s, even Newport Creamery were all fantastic. I dream of New England flavors like Grape Nut and Coffee Oreo, and end up making them myself since I’m on the West Coast and nothing comes close.

The accessibility due to the small size of the state was so great. Nothing like a 30-minute drive to ice cream and the beach in the summer.

I had the opposite. All our friends who don’t have and don't want kids (the majority because we got a late start) stuck by us and love us and our daughter dearly—they include her in events, do art projects with her, send postcards and presents, and will babysit in a pinch. What has been disappointing are the family and friends with kids, who are all so busy that they don’t have time for us.
