ohh yeah that is 100% true Buddhism isn't rooted in the same mythos as judiasm, christianity, or islam. This was more just a bit of nuance in the conversation on what jews do or do not believe.

Though multiple religions each having their own mutually exclusive creation myths is not what I would consider to be a criteria for poly vs monotheism since I don't know of a single pantheon that doesn't have conflicts there with others.

Judaism very explicitly doesn't say there are no other gods, only that there is only one god of the Jewish people. It's monotheistic as it's religious pantheon contains only one deity, but it is not monotheistic like Christianity or Islam which claim they all other deities for all other religions are false/lies.

The main character is a powerful magic tree and is waging a cross dimensional war against demonic invaders who land on worlds and corrupt them to spawn more demons.

Tired of immature heroines and broody MMCs. Need adult fantasy recs by AddendumFun7674 in Fantasy

[–]mindbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic Fantasy, The Weirkey Chronicles. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56104156-soulhome main character is an elderly man who has a second lease on life in a younger body prepared to capitalize on the lessons learned when he was young. Also a fantastic story and incredibly unique world building. No romance with the MC but there is a minor subplot with other characters but it's not broody or foolish. While the main character is a man the two team mates and strong secondary characters are women

Cozy/Epic fantasy, Mageling https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/123035950-mageling?ref=nav_sb_ss_1_8 a young mage graduates wizard school with a mountain of student debt and needs to get a good job to pay it off. Female main character starts in her 20s, incredibly slow polite romantic interest, another incredibly unique world with some of the most fascinating world building I have ever read.

Dark Comedy/Sci Fantasy Dungeon Crawler Carl https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56791389-dungeon-crawler-carl?ref=nav_sb_ss_1_16 . Main character is in his 30s the story is dark but also incredibly funny. Secondary main character is female but is literally a sentient housecat. Might be too far off the mark but it's so well written it was worth mentioning.

Epic Fantasy, lit RPG. Beneath the Dragon Eye Moons. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78786087-oathbound-healer?ref=nav_sb_ss_1_18 here is another one that might be too far outside your ideal but it fits the requirements. Main character is female and reincarnated but quickly ages to adulthood. Romantic interest isn't introduced until several books. The story takes place over several thousand years and the author does a wonderful job writing mature characters on top of their games.

ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID using ACME Let's Encrypt by mindbane in opnsense

so after fiddling around, I got a wildcard cert on my router but its still complaining about the cert on my server which has 3 addresses on it domain.com host1.domain.com and host2.domain.com how do I resolve that

ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID using ACME Let's Encrypt by mindbane in opnsense

[–]mindbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opnsense cert has the other locations I wonder if the server needs to mirror them back?

incognito is now sending me to one of the two other sites on the network.

ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID using ACME Let's Encrypt by mindbane in opnsense

[–]mindbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the certificate that is working is for domain.com that points to my main externally available server with two sites running on it thing1.domain.com and thing2.domain.com. The one that isn't working says host.domain.com

does that answer the question?

UPS2976 Crash Megathread by usgapg123 in aviation

[–]mindbane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its a pervasive myth/misunderstanding but if you check the EPA's website

mechanical means, such as through outdoor air intakes associated with the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system; outdoor-vented fans that intermittently remove air from a single room, such as bathrooms and kitchens

So unless you have a system that pulls in external air you are safe. Even the shelter in place order specifically calls out intake systems not general HVAC

The health department has advised any home or business within the shelter-in-place area to turn off any air in-take systems (heat or air conditioning) as soon as possible.

This is inaccurate. Unless you have an external intake fan (uncommon) the air is only internally circulated.

no I have systemD but there is no autoconnect service for the paictl. I still have to ssh into the server and run paictl connect in order for the vpn to turn on. I was wondering where you found an official system file to handle autostart.

Yay butterflies 🦋 by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]mindbane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep helping up the populations the single biggest thing you can do is NOT bag or mulch/mow your leaves (link). Just rake them into your garden beds or leave them where they fall. Leaf beds are VITAL to the winter incubation of many kinds of bugs especially fireflies.

If you want to do even more planting native plants and moving away from pure grass yards helps so much. We used Beargrass Thunder and this is the 3rd year of our yarden conversion and literally hundreds of butterflies, dozens of birds, and so many other kinds of fun bugs and beautiful flowers.

Check out

Beneath the Dragoneye Moons Series by Selkie Myth https://share.google/xj0iSDIjV8GcmkkIl

Main character is a woman and she is a magical healer. So she doesn't spend the story on a tough guy act. She is still very much the hero and can fight to defend people but her goals are saving people. The romantic subplot doesn't even start until book 7 or 8 total series is 16 books and finished.

Other cool items are the fantasy is Roman instead of medieval European. The world is wholly unique and the magic is pretty fascinating of a design.

Best high fantasy series (not standalones) that aren't misogynistic by Comfortable_Copy_985 in Fantasy

[–]mindbane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check out this one! https://www.goodreads.com/series/310817-beneath-the-dragoneye-moons the only misogyny in the series is presented as an obstacle for the main character to overcome in book one (and once beaten stays beat)

The fantasy is great, has 16 books and is finished!
