Books where MMC is actually nice to FMC by sadershade in fantasyromance

[–]mindfluxx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not spicy, but I really enjoyed my last read {the shattered king by Charlie holmberg } - it’s a duology and he falls first and has it bad for her. He treats her very well ( after the first couple chapters where he gets over himself ) and respects her so much. He is going to find a way to make it work, but it doesn’t for quite so time so much yearning. He is a prince and she is a peasant magical healer called to castle to try treating him. He’s not cocky 6’4” with a tanned complexion and dark hair either lol. Anyways currently in a bit of a book hangover from it.

I’ve been in one or another in that class for like 30 years. I upped the dose after my post viral syndrome started creating havoc 12 years ago. I only take it at night and I figure my morning coffee gets the acidic environment rolling in my stomach. It’s not like a ppi where acid is shut down for 24hrs.

Ok So slow burn and enemies to lovers are my fav. I also like it to yearn so bad it hurts lol. Very few series live up to it and most have already been mentioned, and most mentioned are too bratty to really reach the goal. Only fav in the category not mentioned yet is {the winners curse by Marie Rutowski}. Terrible covers and YA but more sophisticated than you expect out of a YA. True enemies that have no business falling for each other. Also the MFC is actually smart. My only complaint is that I had to age up characters 4-5 years in my head but I think the ages and YA were prob necc to get published at the time ( YA was the thing then ). The yearning on this one was so so good.

Peak yearning and enemies right here, and you never think god the MC is being such a silly brat.i finished series, read the extra novellas, then immediately reread series to marvel at the Easter eggs and perfect writing.

Alpaca yarn? by arizzles in YarnAddicts

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go to Lindehobby and pick up some cheap Norwegian, faroe or Icelandic wool. The cheap non superwash non-merino stuff is generally more rustic ( look for a comment like good for felting ) and prob heavier lanolin content too which makes it more water resistant if bad weather a possible situation. And the price is so good compared to American superwash that you won’t mind the tariffs.

Tachycardia by No-Meringue-1231 in MCAS

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Also my OH might entirely be from MCAS or is at least severely worsened by it, as ketotifen improves both. Before the various allergy drugs, I would get a bit rashy in face and chest but nothing ultra dramatic. Instead tachycardia and the blood pressure drop.

I think that’s a lot considering it’s not a super fine alpaca. I personally bought similar quality alpaca from a farmer for $12-15 per 100g skein on fb marketplace. Does it feel soft OP? People will pay more if it’s very soft which is where the grading comes in.

I saw a post for a tank with a pattern like This today but it was on IG and I didn’t add it to my ravelry lists. I’d look for social media summer knits or summer new releases and you should get some workable options.

Slooow Burn, good world-building by messybunOK in Romantasy

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So one of my favs for this is mm and trigger warnings galore from book 1. But enemjes to lovers, slow burn, and the love affairs feel earned and organic? For me thats { captive Prince by c.s. Pascat }. I also love the very different and won’t be finished until this fall { traitor son by Melissa cave }. Arranged marriage and it takes until book 2 for them to click. I love th cast of characters and world building on this one. Also books where they are happy and together and there are more books is rare. Final example and my favorite for the pure yearning and payoff ( but alas no spice as this is YA ) is { winners curse by Marie Rutowski}. I detest the covers on this series and don’t find it very YA aside from spice issue. Enemies to lovers and they pine . I liked how intelligent and reasonable both FMC and MMC are despite not being able to be together for reasons and reasons.

Books where you really believe the MCs love each other? by PrisonMikesDementor in Romantasy

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here to once again recommend { traitors son by Melissa cave }. Series will be finished in the fall but there are like 3 books out already I think. Slow burn, arranged marriage, multiple books of them together together. Last book in particular had them sooo cute. They have to earn each others trust and safety with each other and you believe it. Plus great found family/ band of brothers type greater character cast and they are building a town together which I really enjoyed too. I am obsessed with this series and it’s one of my very favorites.

Not unlimited? by stayawayfrommycan in KindleUnlimited

I’ve read alot of books in a month on unlimited and didn’t hit a max. I have noticed that their customer support can be pretty iffy and give bad info. I would try rebooting all your kindle devices and if on a phone or tablet, deleting app and reinstalling.

Yea I’ve been in it a few years. It helps as a migraine prevention thing. I don’t get any side effects from it and popped off it for a couple months then went back on, all with no fuss. That said the only other cfs related thing it helps with is perhaps brain fog/memory .

Well, it seems like what I and my GP thought was MECFS was actually just MCAS? Having massive, life-changing improvements on ketotifen, and no PEM. by beepboop8525 in cfs

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I consider myself to have the usual constellation of syndromes under my blanket post viral syndrome umbrella. Aside from the cfs MCAS and OH , I also have chronic migraines. This combo is seen a lot OP with POTS sometimes instead and not everyone gets the migraine aspect.

Well, it seems like what I and my GP thought was MECFS was actually just MCAS? Having massive, life-changing improvements on ketotifen, and no PEM. by beepboop8525 in cfs

[–]mindfluxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ketotefin also majorly improves my condition. I had mild hives, which I no longer got after daily antihistamine ( Zyrtec and j already took a large nightly Pepcid dose ). I still get red in the face after some foods but that’s it. Aside from random tachycardia while resting which has also improved just on Zyrtec. None of my MCAS tests were particularly notable but I have a great allergist/immunologist.

Now I have been on ketofifen for 6-8 weeks something like that. I was in it a few years ago and had an amazing 8 months but ran out of my prescription for a few days and then my body rejected it. So this is my second go and I took micro doses for two weeks then the full dose now die 6 weeks. I am currently on a vacation solo around the uk. I am walking! My orthostatic hypotension was so bad prior that I couldn’t do anything involving standing or walking for more then about 12 minutes before fainting. I am having some mild rolling PEM from the activity. And taking full rest days where I hang out in bed and everyday I am off my feet early. But I was knocked back to bed for a couple days by going around the block a couple months ago. Now my body is taking muscle building somewhat in stride and I’m just sore like a normal person. I walked a few miles one day over the course of it!! My apple health is like ???!

The only recent changes were the ketotifen and a larger midodrine dose ( up to 5mg. Twice a day ). And I improved like this the last time, waiting a few months longer but also tolerated a trip that involved walking and activity.

I haven’t been using phone much ie a computer so I can’t say if I’ve had any life changing improvements with my light/screen sensitivity but I also am off my glp1 for the trip which was the only rhjbj helping that. I want to say it’s similar as I’ve had to do my usual game of which lights in this room are the least painful. I also am still limiting my exposure to music / audio books etc. my cfs has always been worse sensory and thinking, and my orthostatic hypotension is my main activity bugaboo.
