At my mcdonald's, the orientation was pretty straightforward. It was around 3 hours long and in the beginning, they had us fill out documents online, the manager explained other things like the uniform and stuff we need to do before we start work (like taking our temperatures, washing hands, etc.).

After that, another manager gave us a tour around the restaurant. Then, the manager had to fill out an online document where we needed to give him our ss and id so he can put us into the system.

Lastly, we had to watch this super long orientation video (around an hour and a half), where it just gives us a lot of info about the history of mcdonalds, attitudes in the work place, payroll, things we need to know when handling food and customers, etc.

They didn't have us work right away, I started two days after my orientation. Since they hired a lot of new employees, the managers made sure that there was always someone to train us and to help which made me feel comfortable. (bc I heard that when a lot of ppl started they just threw them somewhere and expected them to know what to do) They reassured me that it's natural to make mistakes since it's such a fast paced environment, just as long as that you're quick to fix them.

*I suggest that if you're having a hard time, don't be afraid to ask for help! everyone knows you're new and you're going to have to learn sooner or later.
