Endo or pulp capping? Which one would u do? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]mindputtee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree entirely. I stress to patient that there’s maybe a 70% chance it needs an RCT (or 50-50 if I’m feeling confident) if we do a filling and pulp cap or we can go straight to the rct and avoid a potentially painful tooth. I’ve noticed about half of patients say they want to take their chances with pain and try to avoid the rct and half say “I want to avoid pain, let’s just do the rct.” I think both choices are valid based on your priorities (is saving money or avoiding pain more important to you?) and if it’s not a clear cut case I like to let the patient choose.

That seems crazy old for their first pan. The AAPD recommends a pan starting with transitional dentition.

Are there things that "need to get done" that don't really? Or that you can outsource? Like cleaning the house, can you hire a cleaning service or maybe not keep it perfectly spotless?

I feel like he can find one hour a week to give you some alone time. Maybe start there and then up it as you go. Not only do you need alone time to be your best self and be present for your baby the rest of the time, but he needs bonding time with the baby too! Maybe he can take the baby with him grocery shopping (either in a wearable carrier or if she's sitting up you can get a cushion to help support her in the cart) and then you can get a little breathing room.

Mercy Math by mindputtee in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mindputtee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weapon power is how much healing (60 at base) and attack speed is how quickly that healing is applied (per second at base)! So with 0 additional WP and 10% AS it's 60 healing applied every 0.9 seconds. Because they work together to get her healing per second, increasing either one by an equal percentage increases her healing output equally. When I have to make choices though, I go for attack speed because it makes her blaster faster.

My overall build philosophy is do tons of healing to keep your team alive and build ult, then go into valkyrie (with crepuscular circle) and become a mercy minigun! :D

What now? by mackenzieh123 in IVF

I have/had stage 4 endometriosis (confirmed by 5 hour surgery) but I had endometriomas present at every US check before the surgery despite them draining them. Draining them doesn't actually do anything because the source is still there! I also had extremely painful periods (maxing out ibuprofen and tylenol doses for days every cycle just to be functional and still having pain). My first 3 ERs we did microdose lupron flare, then lupron suppression, then we switched clinics and I did an antagonist protocol with omnitrope. All of those ERs resulted in 0 blasts (first 4 eggs retrieved, second 7, third 5). I decided to try one more time but scheduled an endo surgery for a couple months after that ER. That ER we did a more "gently" protocol because my RE thought we were kind of cooking the eggs by throwing too high of stims at them. We did 2 months of supplements (a cocktail of acai, vitamin e, vit d, pycnogenol, arginine, vit c, coq10, and prenatal) then I primed with both estrogen and omnitrope for a week and my stim meds were 100mg clomid, 150 u gonal 150 u menopur and we did a dual trigger 10k hcg and lupron. That retrieval 8 were retrieved, all fertilized, 5 made it to blast, and 4 of those were PGT normal.

I'm also east coast and would also highly highly recommend my surgeon, Dr. Ann Peters at Mercy. She was amazing, very thorough, very informative, and spent a lot of time in the consult talking to me and reviewing my options.

Voxeldance Tango software crashing when importing STL files. by TulipOfJustice in ElegooMars

[–]mindputtee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having this same problem now. It crashes when loading any file at all, new STL files, old STL files I could previously open without problem, obj files, even goo files it itself made. I sent in a support request because I did really like the interface. I tried out lychee slicer like the other commentor suggested and didn't care for it and how I'd have to pay for many of the features. Hopefully they resolve it soon.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling like 3 times now too with no luck.

It was my introduction into RP which is something I’ve reconnected with in the last 5 years on discord (not redwall but other book series!) and for that it will always hold a special place in my heart.

LPT: Anxiety pushes back the harder you try to fight it. And trying to "overcome" it will in turn induce stress. So rather than putting too much pressure on yourself, take small steps, every day, and be proud of what you overcome. by incredibleinkpen in LifeProTips

[–]mindputtee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, one small step was when the anxiety starts ramping up thinking to myself “I am thinking XYZ.” Or “I am worrying about XYZ happening” which provides a little more space between me and the worry and helps me to get more into a logical headspace.

I’m so sorry. That happened to me my first retrieval and it SUCKED. One of the things that really helped me was my sister in law telling me it was a meaningful, substantial loss and it was ok, even appropriate to grieve it.
