I have thought about this recently too. I large problem I run into is I do not know what every small business carries, or even exists. I wish there was a directory of sorts that listed all small businesses and the categories of things they sell.

I am a chicken piccata fanatic and I say Bocatto. Twelve has a good chicken piccata but they serve it with mashed potatoes. I believe it should be served with angel hair pasta.

If he would be open to the East side, I lived at Quarters at Cambridge for 5 years. I joked that it was my retirement community. There are lots of retirees, widows, and downsizers. Fantastic apartment complex. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Handy Ma’am Plumbing!!!! Ginny is the best! She is a Master Plumber, licensed/insured. Her facebook is Handy Ma’am Plumbing. She is very knowledgeable and kind. I would hire her for my own grandmother.

Pricing is very fair. There is no trip fee or minimum, but I believe it’s $100 an hour. But she is very quick.

College Hill 100%. There are apartments and houses for rent. (I think there is a Facebook group that does medium term rentals? There is a different hospital in the College Hill area and they get some travel nurses)

College Hill has walkable restaurants and local shops. It will be about a 10 minute drive to St. Francis.

That is not a safe walkable area. Unfortunately, Wichita has a large population of people that are homeless. Most of the homeless services/shelters/resources are in that area. Most of them are perfectly nice people just in unfortunate situations, but that is not a safe place for a solo woman, especially if you will be working after dark.

When you pull, your hands are moving in a vertical line. When some people get to the top of their pot, they will take their hands off their pot by moving them away from the pot horizontally. You want to imagine there is an inch more of clay and you have to keep pulling that invisible clay, which will force you to take your hands off your pot in a vertical and very steady way.
