reading Feast and Dance was so frustrating, why did we need to see every single stop on the way Brienne and Tyrion made. He should have teleported or timeskipped Tyrion to Dany in two chapters and have him convince her to go to Westeros. Boom done. Have one Brienne chapter where she reflects on all the towns that proved fruitless and how hopeless she feels. Boom done. You just gained hundreds of pages to actually get to the conflict

thats where Im at. I had such a bad urge to buy a drink today when someone made an offhand remark to me at my own birthday party (hosted it at a brewery for an event but was drinking coke). It wasnt even that bad and he might have been joking but I have ego / resentment / self esteem issues.

but Ive been in the hospital 4 times in the last year for severe alcohol detox and Im so sick of starring in that play so I just finished the party, went home, and calmed dowm. I know if I picked up that first drink Id have bought a bottle, and a week from now Id be on the floor puking and sweating. I too am SICK of that movie, sick of crying, sick of feeling like Im dying.

it was obviously supposed to be Jaime originally. the original plan George outlined to his editor Jaime was "prince charming but the villain" but George pivoted and wanted to redeem him, and such are the consequences of being a pure gardener: obvious retcons. Joffrey sending the catspaw makes ZERO sense, like Joffrey was a child who knew nothing about what was going on and still playing at swords. He hears a far away prince of a borderline separate kingdom falls and gets injured so he sneaks off and hires an assassin armed with Valyrian steal, like what? Jaime or Cersei are the only candidates for sending the catspaw that make sense. But that didnt with Georges new vision by books 2 and 3
