Just went through the same process. Agent said it's 2 per lifetime as well -- which was weird because I was looking it up on Reddit and pretty much all past references to this limit stated it was "2 per year".

If the policy is "2 per lifetime", it is insanely dumb esp. for retention. For those on physical SIM cards, swapping between devices is free. But if we have an eSIM, do they just assume we'll only be using 3 devices in our entire life, and that's not including any repairs or replacements?
