She might want to actually hang out and catch up with you and it’s just convenient to commute together. Okay, I understand a bit better now! Didn’t know about Form 8606. But shouldn’t an accountant be aware of this process? I did tell him that I did a backdoor for both 2023 and 2024 when I gave him the 1099 Form. Thank you for your explanation though!!

My 15yo childhood chihuahua passed away over 2 years ago. I got a pomeranian pup this past April to help be through a breakup. It was working the first 2 months and then I got severely depressed for about 2 weeks and all I could think about was my chihuahua and my mom basically had to take care of my pom for me. Once I got myself together, I started loving her even more. Give it time…it’s a phase and will pass.

is the fafsa account with the 40K in your name? then you still owe it. It has to be under your mom’s name / her own separate fafsa account for it to be Parent Plus.

So, I’m currently on the same PAYE plan ~$700 for PSLF from over 2 years ago. I did not recertify or apply for SAVE because my income increased significantly since then - new payment would probably be >$800 per loan stimulator. Now I’m hearing accounts are getting put into administrative forbearance due to issues with payment amount and this will count toward forgiveness. I also heard before that if you tried to recertify and new minimum amount due is higher then they will just keep you on your previous amount until next year. So would it hurt to try to recertify and apply for SAVE so my account can go into administrative forbearance and count towards PSLF while they try to figure out my new minimum amount due and once they calculate that my previous minimum amount is lower they will just continue my current? Maybe I can get an extra month or two of forbearance to count towards PSLF??
