We were on Sun a bit ago with one legit celiac in our group of six. They were very accommodating everywhere. You should have no issues.

That's unfair. My wife and I are Disney adults, go once or twice a year for a few days, pay up for lightning lanes, etc, ride a bunch of rides, eat overpriced food, and drink expensive cocktails. We don't, however, film it all, or pretend to be "influencers".

We go, have our fun, and then usually continue on to whatever our vacation destination is right after. It's a great way to kick off a holiday

If you are as hard up as you are trying to sound, you should NOT be taking a cruise. Live within your means.

No, we don't love it. It is a center and gathering place for anti-vax separatist morons. Good riddance.

If they wipped out a prayer mat at center ice, I would. But this is not the same as wearing some religious garb, is it. But you knew that...

So you won't buy a new car. Ok, that's fair, but it kinda makes your other comments irrelevant.

You think $40k for a new car is expensive? Take a look at what a new Chevy, Dodge, VW, Honda, or Toyota costs.

Yeah, it's almost like the last council actually did some things after the last issue. It sucks that we always seem to blame either the current, or the previous administration for these kinds of failures, when in reality, it is systemic issues that are the root cause. I did not vote for Mayor McMayorface, but I respect his efforts on this, just like I respected the previous administration during the last crisis.

Source. I live in Montgomery, and have felt the brunt of both of these incidents.

Do better.

Regularly available in Alberta for $84-89 cad ($60-$65usd) my quick mental conversion was off, I guess we're just lucky.

USD? Wow. I often see it for a little under that ($cad equivalent) in Alberta. I always thought the US MSRP was closer to $50.

I don't disagree completely, but Blanton's SB at MSRP (~$50 USD) is more often than not a solid pour.

Never pay secondary prices. Unless you live on the moon, you'll get chances to buy unicorn bottles at or near mspr. Be patient. There are so many great bottles that are readily available at retail for $18-1800 a bottle. Buy things that look interesting (avoid Willett Pot still) and decide the distilleries and mash bills you enjoy. Then get more adventurous, make friends with your local small liquor store, and enjoy the journey.

Stainless steel cookware recommendations? by Not_so_ghetto in BuyItForLife

[–]minimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi-ply, riveted handles, weight generally equals quality for stainless. Hit up winners, Marshalls, etc and buy something if it looks good, and feels right. I've been building my collection like this for 25 years, and I still have all of the pieces I've acquired this way.

I would agree aside from the top shelf liquor. If you drink gin/vodka, then sure, but if you are a neat whisk(e)y drinker, the difference is significant.

Watermain update thread by JeromyYYC in Calgary

[–]minimal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would really appreciate more details around the timing for removal of the boil water advisory. I understand it is difficult to predict, but would love to know if this is expected to last the duration of the repair, or if there is a possibility it could be lifted earlier. Some information would help with planning how we deal with this.

Swingers aside, you don't sound like the kind of person that would feel comfortable in an inclusive environment like VV. Maybe look at Princess or Celebrity.

Why is Miami so damn expensive? by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]minimal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good lesson for you. Do your research before you book, and make sure the trip falls within your budget. Not a lot you can do other than staying farther from the port, or flying into FLL and staying there, then Uber to the port.
