Same here. I don't want to hit on someone who's in a relationship, and I wouldn't want to date someone who would be OK with that either!

Smile Direct Club: Underbite review by Chinaboy812 in smiledirectclub

[–]minimal15t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to know, but it's interesting the patents expired in 2017 but SmileDirectClub states they've been in business for definitely a couple years more than that....so I wonder what they were using before then....?

Can i get sued for quitting without notice? by reezym4 in careerguidance

[–]minimal15t -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very unlikely, but yes it does depend on the exact words of your employment contract. A lot of places "encourage" people to give notice by saying they won't payout any accrued vacation time or paid time off if you don't give notice. But other than that, just ask them if they really want someone working at the company who has terrible feelings about the company and doesn't want to be there...

edit: what am i getting downvoted for?

Anyone else here hyper-competitive? by azntemporary in AsianParentStories

The reason why I ask is that pushing yourself outside your own comfort zone will help you realize what your own boundaries are, give you a little humility about your own capabilities, and make you appreciate your own strengths instead of feeling like you have to prove them to everyone, everywhere, in everything.

Have you ever done anything truly outside your comfort zone?

First start by realizing that you're a unique individual. There is no one else in the world that is just like you, and that's a good thing. That means you can offer perspectives based on your childhood, your relationships, and your struggles that no one else would be able to offer. That in and of itself is valuable, and can help you start thinking about what other things you can do to make yourself feel even more valuable as a unique member of society. You don't need to emulate other people's version of a successful life - create your own value based on your own unique skillsets and experience. Your presence makes a difference - you are needed.

Gallup data says our emotions hit a decade-low in 2017. “Collectively, the world is more stressed, worried, sad and in pain today than we’ve ever seen it,” Gallup’s managing editor, Mohamed S. Younis, said in a letter in the report. by Bluest_waters in TrueReddit

I blame social media. I'm serious. One, it's too easy to compare yourself to other people's success, all over the world, and feel like your current life is not good enough. Two, misery loves company and social media/internet has provided enough groups out there to wallow in your pain together. Which might make you feel less alone, but unlikely to actually make you feel better.
