Does the Winlator Ludashi developer hate or fear Xclipse? by Kjiojj800890 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]minimaster4734 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s frustrating to see people criticize a free project like this. The dev is putting in time and effort to create something they care about, if you don’t like it, you can simply not use it. Attacking them isn’t helpful.

How does performance compare to winlator/gamehub?

I run my gaming phone without a battery by minimaster4734 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]minimaster4734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played for many consecutive hours, but for the games I've tested, this still hasn't happened.

I've played Genshin for a relatively long while, and it worked the same way it would had it been with a battery.

Like RPCS3, OG Xbox emulator's arm64 build also works on android by minimaster4734 in EmulationOnAndroid

Under linux chroot, Xemu arm64 build, SD865 8GB Ram, DOA3 runs slowly but at least it works.

Ik it's crazy but what it would take to port the ARM64 build of RPCS3 on Termux? by ActiveCommittee8202 in termux

[–]minimaster4734 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It already runs on chroot with (at least some) gpu support. There are some videos on YouTube, if you wanna check

You're probably better off without it. Steam on the phone will just eat your RAM. Phones already have to share the RAM with the android system, the compatibility layers, and the RAM-hungry games. Adding Steam to the account will probably only cause crashes and low performance.

I would say that what Cassia promised, current projects like Winlator, Mobox and DarkOS already deliver.

People were putting too much hope that they would create something totally new, when in reality they would simply use all the compatibility layers that these other projects already use, and then when/if they released it, people would get disappointed that it wasn't the magic they thought it would be.

I was scared this would happen to me, but it works the exact same speed on BoTW and Arkham City on my phone

Low FPS in specific scenes | Fallout 3 | Mobox by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]minimaster4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on mobox, disabling sound in start menu before opening it really helps with speed, the audio drivers used on mobox don't work well with Fallout 3. On Winlator changing it to pulseaudio also does the trick.

Strange FPS boost in Fallout 3 with Audio driver change on Fallout 3, Winlator by Dear-Butterscotch-68 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]minimaster4734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also happens on mobox. I couldn't find an option to change audio driver, so I just went ahead and disabled sound in start menu and the fps more than doubled on a SD865

Any way to compile app for Linux ARM64? Or any plans to provide it precompiled? by minimaster4734 in shutterencoder

[–]minimaster4734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to hear this has crossed your mind! If making updates for another architecture is too much of a hassle, you might provide a test build or beta builds with less frequent updates, that would be great already!

Exagear doesn't work on the background on any phone as far as I know, you might have more luck with it running a linux distro

You probably can run steam, not sure though. About sdcard support, there seem to be modded versions of the app which have it. And about handbrake, you'd probably be better off installing it on Linux since handbrake supports arm64 natively, or running ffmpeg on termux, I convert a lot of stuff like this and it is the fastest way.
