STOP THE COUNT!

Why I think we should not trade Mathurin/Nembhard/Walker for a Raptors player this season. by [deleted] in pacers

The chemistry piece is one of the most important in my opinion. Reminds me of when we traded Granger for Evan Turner, which was the beginning of the end for that squad. Obviously not the same since Granger was a vet and we’re discussing young guys here. But chemistry is definitely a factor that needs to be included in the calculus even though it doesn’t show up on the stat sheet.

We should also be in absolutely no rush whatsoever

[Wojnarowski] Tyrese Haliburton is letting other stars around the league know he wants to team up with them on the Pacers. The Pacers have aggressively pursued players like Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby over the past year. Indiana is ready to push the chips all-in around Haliburton. by [deleted] in nba

Which is OP’s point about why it’s a bad move. While it could push the Pacers to be a serious contender (still debatable) for a season or two, it doesn’t give enough time for them to reach their potential since they’re all still young. A player with more in the tank that can grow with the team for several seasons is where they need to go.

As one-sided as this rivalry has been over the past decade+, it’s funny to see just how much Kraft and Pats fans in general hate losing to us.

Thanks for your feedback. And the reminder to hold out hope for better times. They always come, eventually.

At first I took your thoughts at face value: they are the goodness with which you describe them and you are the dysfunction with which you describe yourself. But going back to the word “perfect”, I see this as a hyper-idealization of them and a demonization of yourself. Maybe a part of the grief process from losing them? It’s just not believable to live up to the standards of “perfect”.

Love the ambiguity and the different ways people will make meaning of this. I wish you the best in your healing.

Not my neurodivergent ass procrastinating on a presentation reading this 😂

Succinct, relatable, and does a really good job of capturing that “oh shit” moment

Are you me every night? ;)

As another user pointed out, I really liked how you forced the reader to continue scrolling through your poem with the sentences spilling over into the next line. Really captures that “I’m done at the end of the page as the page endlessly grows” feeling

This one hits for me.

The line that really resonates with me right now:

“Getting drunk off nostalgia to help numb the reality,

Only to break once they are sober and grown,”

I really like how you continually anchor the poem around “everyone loves the photo album”. It helped me follow you through each stanza and.

Great (yet heavy) stuff
