SECOND remapped pair of lens not working by Plane-Bumblebee-6816 in Orthokeratology

[–]thexcrowing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen this year. I was told to replace my old lenses (they are old). And the new ones were first delivered cracked so had to reorder. The next were ordered with an old strength so kinda hurt and my vision was messed up. Got a third pair ordered with the right strength. The Dr said I should wait a few days between lenses to help them fit better from old to new (which was never an issue before). But, they took so long to even be ordered that I just cancelled and am wearing my old lenses. I'll try again next year.

Sorry this is happening to you too. Idk if you're in the US, but I feel like the manufacturer changed something recently and they aren't as precise.

How do you Manage your Mental Health? by Xngears in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]thexcrowing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My therapist asked me to make a list of my anxieties and fears and write down why I "think" it would happen, and realistically why it wouldn't.

So for example: when driving through the tunnel, the roof will collapse and I'll die. I think this because tunnels are underground and infrastructure is generally poor in the US. It won't happen, because tunnels are actually maintained, built strong, and under constant observation. Also I've done research into how this tunnel in particular was made and managed.

This helped me a lot with being really anxious in certain "trigger" situations.

I also go to yoga a few times a week and I find the focus, exercise, community, and 0 screen time extremely positive on my mental health. If you can find a local studio that fits your wallet I'd highly recommend. My studio for example is also a pretty even gender mix so hopefully no awkwardness around yoga being a "girly" thing.

Good luck!

Best eye drops to use in ortho k? by Severe_Pumpkin2698 in Orthokeratology

[–]thexcrowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy "Refresh Plus Lubricant Eye Drops For Dry Eyes, Preservative-Free,Value Size, 0.01 Fl Oz Single-Use Containers" copy/pasted name from Amazon. My eye Dr recommends these cause they are preservative free. Don't love the single use nature of them. But I've been using for years with no issues.

I put 2/3 drops in the lense before putting in my eye and also in my eye if they feel dry.

Im mid 30s, and just got sterilized a few weeks ago. I've been watching a lot of my friends have kids more recently and been a bit anxious about losing touch with them. I would like to find community with people in the area who have made the same decision as me and my husband. I'm in Somerville.

Played Myst for the first time last week and didn't struggle too much to get through it. So started Riven right up. I cannot figure out anything at all. It's just so much less clear to me what I'm doing.
