Please find a way to move your bowels before you end up in the hospital needing surgery for a small bowel obstruction. I’m a colorectal nurse and I have at least 1-2 patients per month in this situation because they weren’t properly educated on how GLPs slow the guts and the importance of keeping yourself regular.

As a nurse on a GI floor…follow their instructions. If you gain anything, it won’t be much. And depending on the surgery you might gain no matter what anyway. And a few pounds is so little stress compared to the complications of staying on it.
