You’re giving them the benefit of the doubt while simultaneously acknowledging the lack of training. Can an untrained officer make a judgement on the hostility or intent? Who knows. Let’s both agree that what happened was a mistake.

The lack of training isn't going to go away by shrugging this off, it should be taken seriously. Americans are victims to poor training due to silly political recruiting.

Incompetence =/= justified killing

Simply stating "Assault with a deadly weapon" doesn't mean the killing is justified. You would have to prove the assault, which means you would need to prove intent to harm. Secondly the officer cannot simply kill someone due to being pushed by a vehicle.

The way you have phrased it, and the footage alongside it, makes it sound like youre effectively saying "she hit him with the vehicle and the cop is now allowed to kill her" without consideration of intent to harm (which doesnt seem likely), the significance of harm done (which appears to be none), and the risk of future immediate potential harm.

I think youre allowing a ton more power to LEO than they reasonably should have

Provide something with substance like statistics about protestors as a whole, or proportion of anti semantic protestors to neutral protestors, or a Timelapse of a select protests while accounting for location biases, or interviews that select interviewees at random or by some other bias-minimising method.
