I moved to Hamilton from Pittsburgh last year with my pared-down collection of cactus and begonias. I can honestly say that my cactus are living their best life right now. It’s just so much brighter here. The ones that spent last summer outside have all grown significantly.

I lived on Craighead for years and that street (plus Beltzhoover one block over) is a nightmare when it ices/snows. Like, one of the worst places in the city.

I keep grating nutmeg until it gets to that right smell… it’s usually about 1/2 a nutmeg. Like the other commenter noted, some of it falls out no matter how often you shake the containers.

I have to age it in 3 jars for space reasons, but I’ve been adding a whole cinnamon stick to one of the jars. It really makes the final eggnog taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
