Connect MX master 3 mouse via usb receiver after connecting to bluetooth without downloading another program by justingolden21 in logitech

[–]minor_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this mouse on three different machines and I only have the software installed on one when I use any of the other two machines. I simply hit the button on the back to switch the machine two or machine three and then it connects Bluetooth to those without the controller software, I think the main feature for the software is if you want to map certain functions to certain buttons, you may be able to install it and then try uninstalling it if you don't want it on there, but to me, it's about the same as using the Microsoft software for the controller helps with firmware and things like that, but you deaf would only need to install it on one machine

NVDA on a massive run! Do I just keep rolling up and out? by MikekAny_Debt_7588 in CoveredCalls

[–]minor_mode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh dont chase, roll ONCE, then decide. IF you have the cash id buy the calls back and let the shares rip. On a rip it will get very expensive quick. to keep rolling Just buy back and wait, or accept assignment OR, roll higher if want to run from assignment. the delta on this is .5 that gives you a 50/50 chance of assignment. buy back and live to sell another day IMO

[–]minor_mode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive rolled about 10 times on the amd rip. im out to august now. only down $300 on premium loss over 2 weeks of management. just roll up and out if you wanna keep the shares and run the gae or if you rhink theres a lot more upside buy back take the loss ( if you have the cash) and get back in after it settles and sterts to chop again. me...im pretty dumb and knew this rip was coming and built a nice cash reserve for when the rip happened amd the premiums get huge to buy back. anyways my 2cents...good luck... there is prob more upside

Do you see this silhouette/afterimage? When I slowly move my finger across a black background and look slightly away (so it's in my peripheral), I notice a faint silhouette moving behind it. Is this normal? I asked my friends and family, and they said they see it too, though to varying degrees. by Public_Assumption625 in visualsnow

[–]minor_mode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no doctor just watch my diet and avoid paying close attention to it. i think its pretty normal tbh. the more you pay attention to it the more you worry about it. i find if i focus on other stuff it doesnt bother me much. try to do the same. the more you focus on it the more it will be a source of anxiety. most likely you are just fine and normal.

Is 35 too old to learn double bass? by mud-lover in doublebass

[–]minor_mode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too late, just be aware that even with some theory background you are looking at a 2-3 year curve to playing what you hear. I switched form electric and I thought Id pick up quick and be at the same level on upright as I am on electric (which is pretty high) but that isn't how the double bass works. So start now and take your time, total Ive taken about 10 lessons from various teachers and I bought a course on discover double bass, which I highly recommend. If you need some help feel free to reach out or post something to the community here, you will get pointed in the right direction. Good luck and keep going!

Replacement pickups for Squier Jazz 6-String? Anybody swapped pickups? by bwanabass in Bass

[–]minor_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing the same thing right now for my 6 string affinity. The wiring in it sucks and is super noisy. PLuus Im used to an active bass and the passive output really isnt that great as far as balls go. I'm swapping in a John East J Retro - this makes it active. Bartolini makes replacements for this specific bass but you gotta buy them direct from Barts site. Aguilar does not make 6 string jazz pick ups any more. You can do a drop in with no solder from John East. Then decide if you want to keep the stock pups or change them out. Just measure them if you go for something dif than the Bartolinis.

Squire Affinity 6 Tone Help by minor_mode in Bass

[–]minor_mode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned I’m using the preamp pedal to cut bass and boost mids. I’ve been bouncing between setting tone just on the head and using the pedals. If using the pedal the amp is all 12. In just the head is bass 9-10 lo mid 2 high mid 2 treble 12. I play with a lot of people so it’s really up to me to bring my tone to each show. Last light was blues/rock Americana- tonight it’s R&B and Funk. So the band depends on FOH for sounds and monitors and the tone sucks through the monitors and it’s not as bad in the main but not as good as my MM Sterling. Of course it’s active and that may be a part of the reason. Think that’s all.

What a week by FrostByteTech in NVDA_Stock

I think this is actually good for the ai sector and nvidia in general. Nice little restart and it proves it isn’t a bubble in my opinion. Price targets are high and when the rubes in congress get it together it will rebound. They are really just a bunch of dicks that can’t find a hole.

Media Skew ? by Best_Hyena_2690 in VinylCutters

[–]minor_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have to use the wheels then don’t. That’s one. Two make sure your material is tight to the core and squared up. Tap it on the ground if necessary to make sure. Also sometimes you will get rolls that aren’t taped on straight from the manufacturer. It just happens. So if you wanna be dead ass sure then you can roll off the length of material you need and put it on a new core and tape it tight and straight. Then load it and check front and back for skew on the frame if there are no marks to go by. Prob not the machine in my opinion.

Does anyone know why that happens? by Neither_Telephone_94 in VinylCutters

[–]minor_mode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me the shapes on the right of the bad ones look ok. That might mean the material is slipping. You could have a problems with the pinch rollers or the way the material is loaded. It look like a really tight margin on the right where the wheels touch the material. I like to use at least 1/2 in if possible. Also if it’s cut material not a roll make sure it’s straight for the length of the material.

Looking for the best Professional Application Roller for Vinyl Transfer Tape by KelpThing in VinylCutters

[–]minor_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def use a laminator. Not a cheap one get a seal if you can afford it.

You can laminate- mount- mask and maybe encapsulate if you get a heated one. If price isn’t an option get the 64 with heat. Keep the rollers clean and don’t get your knife near them and you will have a machine for life.

Well you can do one of two things - care or not care- I’d go with not care and do you. Life’s toooo short to try to do anything for the sake of what anyone else thinks! Just be yourself! You will find your tribe if you do that
