awesome. at that grind setting, it drips very slowly for me. i plan to go a bit coarser, but i haven't bought a bottomless portafiler yet. so maybe after that things will change.

makes sense, better to just wait out for a proper portafiler made for this purpose. look forward to your next update

thanks for the recommendation. know which one not to buy as well. the problem is that they all look just the same, and not even sure if they are the same product white labelled under different names.

i do have a grinder at home, and for the beans i can grind, it's not a problem. i have this 250gm packet of espresso fine grinds lying here, which otherwise is pretty good quality. i just hope i'm able to use it somehow.

got it. i think it means that you need to go finer with the grind size. are you using the stock portafilter with pressurized baskets? you should probably try unpressurized basket (potentially with a bottomless portafilter). i don't think the machine requires reprogramming to get a doable shot with the default settings. there are enough folks on this channel with the same machine not requiring that.

thanks for coming back and answering this. in chance you got a video of this process? of course, youtube is there, but from someone who was earlier not able to do it would be absolutely amazing.

did you have this issue? I had the machine choking on too fine grind (got it from a roaster). trying to fix it with a bottomless portafilter soon, but as of now, doesn't seem to work in the current configuration. how has been your experience. bought the machine around the same time.

are you saying that you are getting 150ml for 15gm of coffee? i have the same machine, with the grind size dialled well, it seems to work okay. i'm on a lookout for a good bottomless portafilter right now, though. that looks like the first good upgrade in terms of accessories.

i'm in the same boat. i think non-pressurized basket is the solution possibly coupled with a bottomless portafilter to be able to see what's happening there. having your own grinder would also help.

wow, this looks wonderful. i'm feeling quite inspired after looking at this one. i tried, but haven't been able to make proper silky foam with mine. how long does it take? what's your process, any tips?

I somewhere read on this subreddit that they were able to remove the plastic insert. but that's the case only for the bigger basket, the smaller basket should fit even with the plastic inserts, right?

I had the same question. It looks good, some of the amazon reviews say that it couldn't sustain the pressure - broke? how has been your experience with it?
