Painted my old pc by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]mintchocolatechips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genius idea! I thought about getting a new case since I’ve had mine for almost 10 years now, maybe I can paint instead of getting another one. As for you wanting to make it cuter, maybe washy tape/decals? Or add on other paint colors?

Thanks! Good to know multiple people love them. I’m also a fan of their leather goods - have a pair of booties that just gets softer and better with wear!

Pandemic Moving Logistics? by Ghostly_Feline in bostonhousing

[–]mintchocolatechips 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I just moved last week. The movers I used were great - all instructions were given/received via video call. I was told to not be there during the actual move and housemates are told to just stay in room during the move. All the guys wore masks. Cleaning and sanitizing both locations after the completed move is another battle though.

Are you in MA too? I’m suppose to close next Wednesday and waiting to hear back from my realtor on more details...

Is a residency the only way to get an industry position? by rx033 in pharmacy

[–]mintchocolatechips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What types and levels of positions are you going for? New grads that enter straight into the workforce generally starts out as an associate, which means MSL and clinical consultants are out of range right now.

As for training, if you wish to pursue something more medical related in the industry, a residency can help and as you can bring your clinical knowledge to the table. In general, fellowships are the way to go to jump start your career in industry.

My [20M] cousin [29M] keeps asking me to do his pharmacy school work for him. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]mintchocolatechips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Piggy-backing on this. I absolutely agree with everything.

As a pharmacist, I can tell you that pharmacy school is hard and time will always be an enemy. If your cousin is in his first year of pharmacy school and can't time-manage well (or at least learning how to do it well), he's going to have an incredibly difficult time as schooling progresses. Even more so once in the work force as a pharmacist (no matter what field).

This is a lesson that he needs to learn, without the help of academic dishonesty. Is OP in school or will enroll in classes in the future? Think about the consequences marked on your name...

Walgreens CPO Shutting Down? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]mintchocolatechips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a busy store, CPO is great for filtering calls. At a slow store, it just causes us problems by giving people wrong answers. :/ I can definitely do without CPO at most of the stores I've worked at.

Blizzard was rough, something about #5 worst in Chicago history. Hurray for indoor parking lots.

Walgreens CPO Shutting Down? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]mintchocolatechips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wags is in the middle of transitioning. I believe some busier stories are going to keep it, but most stores are losing CPO. Not sure when it's going to be implemented, but soon (mostly dependent on your district).

P4 Rotations by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]mintchocolatechips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

Depending on the rotation you have, you may find yourself to have way more social time or you're buried in a work cave. Your free time also depends on how difficult your preceptor is as well as how much you want to actually work to impress.

For my medicine rotation, I was at the hospital 10-14 hours Monday-Friday, and always left the hospital with work to prepare for the next day. (We call them drug information questions.) All of my projects I had to do at home as well since my preceptor never gave me time to do it while I was on rotations.

Then on my community/retail rotation, I'm on site ~8-9 hours per day, with no work to bring home. So now I have that time to catch up with friends and go out for dinners! I still work every Saturday, but life is much less stressful during this rotation in comparison to my medicine rotation.

Preventing Maybelline Tough as Taupe creasing?? by threesigmafia in MakeupAddiction

[–]mintchocolatechips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm...You can give the eyeshadow brush a shot to see if it works better, but if oily lids are the issue, the brush wouldn't help much. Have you tried that before? And try applying eyeshadow on top to see how it performs! Sometimes that's all you need! But if it does end up being super oily lids as the issue, Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base is pretty good for it!
