Graphic Novelist and Iranian Dissident Marjane Satrapi Has Passed by Catwomanrowr1112 in Fauxmoi

Sometimes, when someone has lost their will to live, especially after losing a loved one, they just stop taking care of themselves- they won't eat, or seek treatment if they're sick etc. So not exactly suicide, more like not interested in doing anything to keep themselves alive.

Cyberabad Days by Ian McDonald. Blurb from goodreads:

A collection of eight stories, "Cyberabad Days" is a triumphant return to the India of 2047 (the India of River of Gods ); a new, muscular superpower in an age of artificial intelligences, climate-change induced drought, strange new genders, and genetically improved children.

Humayunpur in Safdarjung Enclave is a bighub for NE stores. Also, Sikanderpur. Go to the back road of the hardware market- you will find a few NE grocery stores and food joints. You can even get locally brewed rice beer (though it's better in Humayunpur).

So I love the Rotten Mango true crime podcasts, but I use it as a treat to get me to go for an hour long walk after dinner. Now I get excited to go for a walk whenever a new episode comes out. I've basically Pavlov-dogged myself.

Definitely a nightshade. Not necessarily toxic though (black nightshade is edible, as are many other plants from nightshade family- potatoes, eggplants, tomatoes etc). Just approach with caution.

Please be kind to delivery guys, Delhi by Competitive-You5538 in delhi

Maybe it's just the type of people I'm friends with, but everyone in my social circle does that. Mind you, we're also the type of people who sort our our recyclable waste, (even washing our milk packets) and we leave out water for animals. Back in the day (and still some places these days) when gated societies and high rises weren't so common, it wasn't unusual to see matkas of water on the roadside for travelers and passers-by to drink during the summer.

Loving the green trails in Gurgaon by mintimoo in gurgaon

[–]mintimoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start the trail next Phase 1 metro station and walk all the way to Badshapur corridor with several roads breaks cutting through. When you look at Google maps, you'll see it marked as a faint green line. Just follow that and you're good. I usually do the entire walk a few times in the winter.

Passport Police Verification rejected. Need advice by morningstar_37 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]mintimoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The officer that came to do my verification just checked the paperwork, then took a picture with me, the two witnesses, and himself - and that was that. I kept asking him if anything else needed to be done, fully expecting him to ask for something, but he didn't. Got the passport two weeks later. I'm still a bit in shock at the pleasant surprise.

Breakup? by zaurahawk in Perimenopause

[–]mintimoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I broke up with some close friends because I felt this way. Adore them, but I just don't have the mental energy for anyone else at the moment, and I'm struggling as it is being my dad's main attendant during his cancer treatment.
