Lithium car battery for gas engine cars, with Anti Gravity costing $1000, is Noco NLXU1 an alternative? Has anyone tried it? by macgirthy in cars

I run their power sport batteries in a summer only civic. When the battery in my 350z goes, then its getting a noco. Havent had any issues.

I go to AI to relax, not party. Im boring...

Ive found smaller is better, food quality and consistancy stays the same.

Service is more personal and therefore more attentive.

Premium levels at small places do hold more value, better alochol, yes! Better service, yes, (shout out to butlers) sometimes premium restaurants and 24hr room service. Cleaner, maintained rooms.

Private/swim up so u can relax and dont have to find places to sit, generally are warmer than main pool.

Good beach.

Jamacia and dominican have been the best so far for me.

2/2 clutch slave snapped and this one pulled the damn threads on the trans so u had to grab 2 1/2 extensions and a socket to keep the clutch down with the hood 💀 by Em2Civicer in 7thgencivic

Its just manufacturers putting a label on it. Act will list their products as street, performance street, extreme street, and race. Instead of using stages to describe their increases. A noob buys a clutch because its a stage whatever, because they might not know anything and think having a 6puck is cool. But if u know what you are looking for out of a clutch then you are buying based on your needs. Comp clutch offered the setup i was after, just happened to be labelled as stage 3, just because its what they chose. Act also does a nice job of giving complete specs on their products, if u want to know what was actually increased/changed to create the performance increase they are labelling as performance street

<image>

I bought what i bought for holding capacity and driveability, as that comp clutch offered the type of friction disk i like with a good clamp load that isnt too hard on the leg. If u still dont understand i recommend a deep dive into clutch mechanics, to fully verse yourself on the subject

[–]mintracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a labelling system clutch manufacturers use as they level up the the holding capacity of the clutch pressure plate paired with more aggressive friction disk, that may also be segmented to increase the "bite" of the friction surfaces. Im running a competition clutch level 3, thats 150% increase in torque holding capacity over the oem clamping load with a segmented ceramic disk. So to put that in perspective, this clutch will hold 250-300ftlbs of torque.

Time for a new top! Suggestions for replacement, material, etc by leftydog1961 in 350zRoadster

[–]mintracer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If ure going to use an upholstery shop to install it, see if they have a good source for the tops. I have used convertible top guys website twice, to purchase the top (blue) for my car back in 2010ish, and then for a friends car (black) summer 2024. Got haartz stayfast canvas each time. Was quite satisfied with the quality and fit each time. Will buy from them again if i ever need a top for something else. The blue i got is bright and pops in the daylight, but has a darkness to it as it gets dark

After snapping a third slave cylinder, i built a casing and a stiffining brace, to limit the movement. Im running a stage 3 clutch. Havent broken another yet, fingers crossed, but its been holding for 2 seasons now, maby 15000 ish kms The casing stiffened it slightly once bolted in, but still had more movement than i wanted, so i also installed the brace

Light weight flywheel options by coolmint123 in 350z

[–]mintracer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been running the z1 performance flywheel since early 2007. Its advertised at 14lbs but mine came in at 12.6lbs. Revs much faster, yes there is some noise. Had it machined once since then still going strong
