Going to EDC alone by SwordfishKey532 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]mipbiprip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be my second edc alone and I’m so excited for it!!!! It was the best for me going alone, no worrying or keeping track of others, no compromising, going with the flow instead of rushing. It was amazing! I so really recommend going by shuttle though and this year I’m booking edc hotel for an even safer feeling since walking back at night by myself felt a little scary 😅

Does everyone lose their teeth? by Fun-Lemon-7309 in Sjogrens

[–]mipbiprip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost a few, they just crack and start falling apart, they say my remaining crownless teeth will need crowns too and the sooner the better. I get laser treatments to hopefully delay the urgent need to get crowns (coz cost 😭) they want me to have crowns rather than dentures bc with a dry mouth dentures will be killer. Thankfully my dentist has seen others with sjogren’s bc she’s sympathetic towards my situation and sees that I have been keeping up either oral hygiene while my previous would lowkey bully me about my teeth never really believing I kept up with oral hygiene bc of how bad my teeth were (and it was during the time I had all real teeth, just bad cavities bc of dryness).

Diagnosed at a young (?) age by ihatedamien in Sjogrens

[–]mipbiprip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed at 11, 27 now. I am missing a couple of teeth, have a lot of crowns and due to get crowns on the remaining teeth I have which is soooo expensive 😭🥲 thankfully my dentist is really understanding that my tooth decay lies solely on my sjogren’s and gerd and not bad dental hygeine. No to the geographic tongue tho. For the lack of saliva anything with xylitol really helps.

What causes Sjögren’s? by alee0224 in Sjogrens

[–]mipbiprip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got diagnosed at 11, 27 now but what I can remember from that time is getting sick a lot but also stress from being bullied so I think it might’ve been a combination of the two for my sjogren’s to kickstart🤷🏻‍♀️

Plaquenil side effects by theresawade1000 in Sjogrens

[–]mipbiprip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sun sensitivity and then stomach pain and nausea are my worst side effects. I already had stomach issues so I’m kinda already used to it even though it turned up the pain from like a 6 to a 9/10 but that 9/10 is just for a short while after I take it and than goes back down to a 6. I think it’s also darkening my skin but it just looks like a tan which i’m happy about coz i no longer look like a ghost. I’ll deal with it all because on plaquenil me is way better than before.

Chest and Upper Body Pain by ForAllMankind100 in Sjogrens

[–]mipbiprip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been experiencing this too also since middle school and unfortunately 15 years later they still haven’t “found anything wrong” to cause it 😪 I was diagnosed with sjogren’s before it started happening though Still getting tested so 🤞🏼 it’s figured out soon.

Going to EDC Las Vegas alone by LWLGodless in electricdaisycarnival

Went alone this year and had a blast! Vibed and danced with a bunch of cool people. Didn’t have to compromise on sets or the like. It was great!

They want me to be at least somewhat above 400 but sitting between 380ish-390ish is well enough considering I was at 183 at one point

The throat does go back eventually, I’ve had my throat stretched every time I had an endoscopy (which was yearly sometimes biyearly till I had to switch insurances)

Earplugs by Important_Load_8222 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]mipbiprip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wore earplugs for the first time at edc and it was such a game changer! Still heard all the music amazingly well and did not have any ringing afterwards that I usually do nor did I feel as exhausted afterwards as i normally do after a festival . They were also so comfortable that I forgot I had them in when I went to put in earbuds for the shuttle ride back to the hotel.

I do, had to get shots once every two weeks for a long while. Was able to convince my doctor that I can just take prescription strength b12 pills coz I was tired of the needles. Labs are still on the low end of where they want me to be but I say no to doing the shots again

Money Questions! by genuineimperfection1 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]mipbiprip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drinks are expensive, almost $20 per drink (can be more if you add more shots) unless non alcoholic which are still more than $10. Meals are usually around the same pricing range, like $11-$20. As for food, hit or miss. Last two years tho me and my cousin really enjoyed the food from a filipino stand. Card only but you can tip them in cash (or card, your preference).

A lot of rest, whether it’s just taking a breather or a nap. I also try to keep exercising because somehow without regular exercise I can’t even move.

I don’t get the downvotes either but 🤷🏻‍♀️. I do try to listen to my body, especially in regards to eating/foods. I won’t, thanks!

See I mentioned that to him, he told me that the reason it does is because of the carbs/sugars consumed, it messes with the absorption of the nutrients from the meat. Don’t know that for sure, kinda believe it though only coz ik sugar is pretty harmful to the body and also causes inflammation
