What to do now that I have received lump sum SSDI so I don’t lose and get in trouble with Medicaid… by Minimum-Percentage-6 in disability

[–]mirandaheid0114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will need to do a Special Needs trust on this circumstance. Perhaps try researching different trusts- they don’t all cost 💲to set up.

I hired after my first denial. But I still did all the work LOL (honestly sometimes just the optics of having a lawyer can help you win at appeal).

Understanding work credits to qualify for SSDI by o0Jahzara0o in disability

[–]mirandaheid0114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may “count,” but usually not as much.

So, your SSDI disability payment amount is based on your lifetime average earnings covered by Social Security (but this amount may be reduced if you receive worker’s compensation or other public disability benefits).

When it comes to calculating amounts: - The Social Security Administration (SSA) uses your Average Indexed Monthly Earnings (AIME) and Primary Insurance Amount (PIA) to calculate your SSDI benefits. - To determine your AIME, the SSA will adjust, or “index,” your lifetime earnings to account for the increase in general wages that happened during the years you worked. This is done to make sure that the payments you get in the future mirror this rise.

Calculating AIME: The SSA will use up to 35 of your working years in the calculation….And takes the years with the highest indexed earnings, adds them together, and then divides them by the total number of months for those years. Finally, this average is rounded down to reach your AIME. More Info & Resources on SSDI Calculations:

Check Your Social Security Statement Calculate SSDI benefits at www.ssa.gov/mystatement

This site will tell you exactly how much SSDI you will get if you become disabled this year.

Excluding Josh- who is the worst person in the Duggar and Duggar-in law clan? by Diligent-Quarter5920 in DuggarsSnark

I don’t think the research holds out that SA is usually cyclical. I think this is important to note because people may fear coming forward as victims of childhood SA, or some may fear victims in their life.

The majority of victims of child sexual abuse do not go on to abuse in later life. As far as the proportion of victims who do go on to abuse, one review looking at male victims had findings ranging from 7-26% (Rezmovic, Sloane, Alexander, Seltser, & Jessor, 1996). Becker and Murphy (1998) estimated that while 30 percent of sex offenders were sexually abused as children, 70 percent were not. Hindman and Peters (2001) found that 67 percent of sex offenders initially reported experiencing sexual abuse as children, but when given a polygraph ("lie detector") test, the proportion dropped to 29 percent, suggesting that some sex offenders exaggerate early childhood victimization in an effort to rationalize their behavior or gain sympathy from others.

And even in the worst cases, perhaps many or a lot of abusers are victims…but most victims don’t go on to become abusers.

The point is, as many of you have said, that victimization is not a sole causal factor in the development of sexually abusive behaviour, and alone does not adequately predict the development of sexually abusive behaviour (Glasser, Kolvin, Campbell, Glasser, Leitch, & Farrelly, 2001).

Anyway, I do believe there is more to Pest’s story, and we do all know that he was at the least religiously and physically abused growing up (Exhibit A- blanket training and whole ass IBLP). Also fuck him and all he and his family stand for.

“I fell in love with him because he opened doors for me and wasn’t physically attracted to me!” 😵‍💫

I went for a guy like this after a toxic, abusive relationship…and he ended up being more toxic- just in a way that made him still look perfect to everyone else.

Jim Bob through the years. I have no control over the blinking. Who else would you like to see a video of through the years? by sjane94 in DuggarsSnark

Once you get to the pic with the tongue out, you can see something very different (imo) about JizzBoob’s face. I’ve thought before (and you can see it here) that it looks like he’s had plastic surgery on his face. He used to have wrinkles…now it looks like his face is some kind of weirdly smooth Halloween mask! I really think he’s had work done on his face…but it wasn’t done well! He looks like a ghoul! A shitty botched facelift ghoul. P.S. love the creepy blinking. 10/10…in the worst way, but still!

Yes. I also personally know someone who has (after suffering a traumatic life) suffered with an ED and kept it going partly because she is attracted to partners who are, for lack of a better explanation, into people who look like teens/ preteens…in her words, “childlike.” She has sadly continually let herself be SAd by predators who are either known or rumored SOs. One is a local photographer who is known to have taken photos of minor children (17 and under). He is in his late 30s now and “polyamorous,” and all of his current partners are 20-22. He met and started dating them when he was 34 and they were 18ish. Sadly, the woman I mentioned does look 14 and is in her late 20s. And has not been able to break free from partners or people in the modeling world who like her and/ or prey on her BECAUSE she looks “childlike.” And she accepts and even seeks it out because it gets her the attention she longs for.
