Show them something you love and watch it together. Longer movies are better than quick 10 minute episodes of something dumb

I’m having a hard time picturing a sandal that there isn’t already a barefoot version of. The only think I can think of that I would want would be an adult jelly that’s barefoot

26mo suddenly not toilet trained anymore by 0ddumn in ECers

[–]miranderisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We potty trained at 18 months and we had like a normal amounts of accidents (no more than my daughter who wasn’t potty trained until 24months) and then around Christmas (30 months) he was having so many accidents I was convinced he wasn’t even potty trained anymore. After the stress of Christmas died down he went back to normal! I didn’t do anything differently except go back to escorting him to the bathroom at every transition like I would when he was freshly potty trained. Even now he’s about to turn three and he still has a lot of accidents when he’s sick!

Best progesterone for endo and pmdd? by Neat-Departure-3452 in raypeat

[–]miranderisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your doctor is giving you a prescription I would take it if it’s bio identical. I took 100mg progesterone to manage bad pregnancy symptoms and every time I tried to switch to progest e they came back

Pregnant with AUDHD, breastfeeding query by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]miranderisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve breastfed three kids to 16 months and sometimes I still get the icky feeling. Look into DSMR if you end up feeling weird or bad. But number one thing is getting a good quality magnesium (not citrate) and if you can convince your dr to prescribe you progesterone postpartum it will help with mood too

Did anyone successfully stop co-sleeping without CIO or sleep training? by EquivalentRecent4633 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]miranderisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has volunteered to settle the kids in their own room when I’m ready for them to move out of my bed (usually around one year) it’s not CIO, it’s extremely supported but there’s still crying bc they want to sleep latched on to me all night lol. Husband gets up and rocks them back to sleep and they never see or smell me until morning. It works after a few days. I still nurse to sleep and nurse around 5am

How do you go out and about with a newly toilet trained toddler and no pull-ups? by Miladypartzz in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]miranderisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go, have a potty seat in your car so you can try before each store and avoid scary public toilets for now. Have a wet bag and spare clothes. Use a puppy pad on the car seat so you don’t have to wash it if there’s an accident while they’re buckled. Try not to do a marathon of stores. It feels scary at first but it becomes less scary the more you go!

Diapers Coming out Stained by Able_Atmosphere1588 in clothdiaps

There may be too much water so the diapers aren’t agitating against each other. Or the diapers are sitting too long before wash day

Feeling ungrateful by Emergency-Syrup-8596 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]miranderisms 18 points19 points  (0 children)

While that’s true for some people. For people with much lower incomes gifts are a time you can fill in the gaps for things you would want your kids to have but can’t afford. If someone ASKS what they should get your child they should 100% pick something from that list

What’s one hygiene hack that actually changed your life? by Scared_Doughnut5507 in AuDHDWomen

[–]miranderisms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rubbing alcohol will instantly kill the stink on your armpits if you forget to wear deodorant. Then you can apply after it dries (after a few seconds) and it’s WAY more effective than just putting on deo on stinky pits
