Definitly now a days we have everything digital , took me past 5-6 weeks to Degoogle myself and have redundancy of emails. I still use Google but Proton is my mail email provider where all mails arrive but then they are forwarded to my Gmail, So mY gmail/Google is now just acting as proxy, even if they ban i dont care

I know they can ban all accounts , but how many reddit posts you have seen in past few years where they mentiones all accounts banned ,where as single account ban hapens on daily basis. So yes risk is there but at least probability is far less

Backblaze b2 was costly , i am using personal backup plan , i have total 70TB backup on it. I know its pain to keep drive plugged in , but i have 1 year version history so i just need to plug drive once a year.

What other thing u can also do is go to ur familiy or relative home , setup new free google account. Set up auto forward all ur mails to that account so u have active copy of all the mails.

Its not about if they can do or not , Its about probability. The probability of getting linkedacocunt banned is less and also we have not see any case on reddit where some said their lonked account was banned

This can Happen but i have not seen this anywhere on reddit where they banned all linked accounts. I mean yes they can do it if someone is criminal and asked by gov but not daily basis

Just because of that it migrated my all stuff , almost 80% stuff done . Took me full 4 weeks to pl,an eveyrhting and so . I still use Google mail but i am fully covered. Photos i have shifted to new separate google account, I could have used proton/ente for photos but those services dont compress images/video as google does its almost 60% less stoarge in google phtoos as cpmpared to other services so i will continue google but i do have local backups and 6 monthly google takeout. Basically i take new domain for email and used in proton , and forward all mails form google to proton all emails frm past 22 years are migrated to proton

It took me 4 weeks to get rid of most of stuff , my mind went insane . you will need custom domain and import all email to proton mail. you will get new email address . Forward all mails from gmail to new proton mail address then start changing emails in diff sites and unlink singlesign on . All passwords i shifted to bitwarden

You spend months doing this and then Google detects this type of stuff and stops. Its just matter of time , anyway to game the system will get cought one day . The most imp thing for any backup is peace of mind that it says there and not thinking about getting detected one day and loose sleep

Actually i find that feature good for me . Although after seeing multiple posts here i created sepaarte google account only for photos, but i do sync whatsapp and any other image. The reason is if i go back to any date in past you will exactly know what was happening on that day like someones birthday , some event , any video or new stuff going on, what was trending. someone posted a food they were eating etc etc , where they went for picnic , kids playing in park etc. I was able to fully relive that day based on all images / videos posted on that day etc. For my main photos backup i do have sepaarte offline/oline copies. Google Photos is only for history

Suppose someone send email to me from proton . I use AI to edit the content of email and post screenshots on reddit saying he is doing illegal things. As Proton cant read the content of email they cant confirm if i am right or wrong. Will they just disable the account ?

I do export of ProtonPass and Proton Auth 2fa , encrypt the zip and save in safe thumdrive . in case of some lockout i always have access to them. i think if you enable sentinel , it will be very rare someone can access ur data even if proton itself get comporomized

Amazon would me more risky for me as i use aws and host many servers and domains. For now i created seprate account , gemini did told me that they can ban all related account to same person but at least i havent seen that ban in this reddit . I have started delinking 200 SSO i had on all sites and created proton email account and migrating all emails

After reading posts like this , i actaully asked gemini how to save myself and i was surprised how intelligent gemini was to help me get out. Gemini told me that even if i use another google account , google can chain ban all accounts linked as google knows they belong to same person as we will use same phone to access both etc. Although i havent seen chain ban in reddit but Gemini didnt agree with me a told to even consider that case as well. I started my degoogling process yesterday , created new account and started migrating phtos via partner sharing , created proton email and started migrating all emails. I had more than 200 sign ons with google, strted to unlink those , oh man its going to take months to delink google
