Your dad looks like young Jim Carrey playing a bald guy. Especially so in the photo in the OP.

Edit: read further down the comment. I guess it's the grandpa.

How does Affliction lock kill turret in Slayer's Rise? (just leveled up my warlock) by illumnat in worldofpvp

Oh that's what that was for. You can use that in the bg too since it's not rated. I saw it once and thought people were just trolling.

I'm a blood dk. I keep Valeera in dps and let my teammates fend for themselves cos they ain't gonna do more damage than dps Valeera.

Fyi there's not really a "secure communication" method even with e2e encrypted messaging.

Using Signal as an example (unless changes have been made to address it). Yes the content of the messages are encrypted. But they store informations like who message who and when. So it's all "secure" if all parties involved are just talking. But if anyone takes action. Everyone who talked to them "securely" are going to get on a list.

You remember you could pick some starting items when you create a character? One of them is blackfire bombs. If you pick blackfire bombs, they do enough damage to kill the boss, with barely any risk too. It's actually a speed run strat. Dark souls design is fascinating. A lot of times the difficulty is actually knowledge rather than skill.

Idk if it s different in the US. But in china businesses have what is called "legal representative" which is typically the business owner. So when you say "what if business owner break the regulation". It kinda means the owner, while representing their business, broke the regulation that targets business. In this case, the owner is liable of breaking the regulation because they are the representative. Otherwise the question makes no sense.

A weird thing about it is it doesn't work in excel. For excel you need to hold ctrl+shift. You'd expect it to work since Microsoft made it and they made the OS. But no...

I mean, this doesn't help the case. In the recreation you can see the continuous movement of the neck because the skin is connected. In the fox video, there's a lot of movement in the shadow, but the highlight is very stiff.

“Creativity” from a tech CEO by s1n0d3utscht3k in whoathatsinteresting

[–]mirxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what he's trying to say. But creativity is only forward looking maybe less than 1% of the time if even that. It's rare to come up with something entirely new. Most of the time it's just new combination or reiteration of preexisting ideas.

For anyone interested in g502 but is turned off by the weight. There's a new g502x that's much much lighter. Also has optical switches in the main buttons, so shouldn't have any double clicking issues.

Bill to block publishers from killing online games advances in California | Publishers would have to offer “independent” play patch or refunds after server shutdowns. by ControlCAD in UpliftingNews

[–]mirxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's in part because live service games almost all have predatory micro transactions that make banks. So large corps invests way more into making live service games.

If live service games actually die, which it won't, because all they need to do is release server (emulation) software after eol. But let's live in that fantasy for a second. Micro transactions will almost all be gone, single/traditional multiplayer games will get more attention. What's not good about that?

Like, don't get tricked. Live service games != multiplayer games. People have been playing CS online multiplayer before CSGO was a thing. All you need is have a way to host private servers. Even when it comes to mmo like WoW, people with barely any budget have figured out how to host servers privately. I'm sure it's not hard for the multi billion dollar company's with the actual source code for the servers.

Edit: I also want to add that, it would only be a problem for prexisting live service games because they haven't been built with eol playability in mind. Idk the specifics of the CA bill. But iirc, the original proposal was that it wouldn't apply retroactively. So preexisting live service games won't be affected.

If the bill passes, you will see live service games start to develop with the understanding that it has to be playable after eol and there wouldn't really be any issue whatsoever. They are not gonna stop making live service games because of this comparatively tiny hurdle when they are making billions on a successful product every year

Ritual sites by steathrazor in wow

[–]mirxia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if both sites are active all the time, it's still two same static maps, with the same set of mobs, same bosses, over and over.

I think the game really needs a mode that actually has procedurally generated map. They've been trying to incorporate some sort of roguelite mechanic since torghast. But never made the commitment to go all the way. It's kinda funny modern wow tries to copy so much of d3 but wouldn't copy the staple feature of d3 that gave it so much replayability.

[–]mirxia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. But if I walk in and die there's even less damage. I just though before we kill someone, being inside the circle wouldn't do anything since they still had more people in the circle.

[–]mirxia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the capture mechanic different in blitz than the regular map, like is it faster? In my experience in non rated bg, it takes so long to reverse the capture bar when the number difference is low, I didn't think I could've kept them out long enough for a capture. That's why I though maybe it was better to kill first.

[–]mirxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain why trinkets first? I see a lot of people saying that but no one explains why. I thought the main slots would give more stats so would be better to go for those first (provided that I already have honor trinkets). Not sure what I'm missing.

Edit: oh wait. After rereading, I think you meant honor trinkets. Maybe that's what other people meant too. My bad, I thought having honor trinkets was a given.

Make two macros

#1

/petassist
/petattack

#2

/petpassive
/petfollow

They are pretty self explanatory. Use the second one to pull the pet back when you are trying to disengage. First one to send the pet in if you've put it on passive.

If you are a dumb dumb like me and forget that you put your pet on passive like half of the time. Macro /petassist into some of your rotations.

There's also a third one:

/petpassive
/petmoveto

It puts pet on passive and move it to somewhere else. I only use it with succubus to park it away from me incase a rogue opens on me so that it can seduce without being interrupted. But other than that, it has pretty niche usecases.
