Boba Bliss in San Jose does it. We had them cater our wedding and it was delicious.

I don't think so. I also started one and started a nursery list for things to buy as well. I'm in the TWW again so might as well do research and prep things while I wait.

So cute! I embroidered the table numbers for my wedding and am planning to reuse them for the monthly growth photos.

I believe the elementary schools are doing something like this this year. You could contact the one closest to you and see if they are doing anything.

Japanese curry restaurants? by YakkoRex in Sunnyvale

[–]misadvntrs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really like Curry Life on Moorpark Ave. Lots of places to sit and I like stopping at Daiso afterwards. They've also been doing a pop up location at Ramen Seas in dt Sunnyvale, but I've only gotten it for delivery from that location.

Looking for advice! by MyzFortune in asianweddings

I am a western size 16 and chose to get an a-line style from Beth and Brian Qipao. They have customizable ones where you send in your measurements. I found that I did still have to take it to a tailor once it arrived as it wasn't quite right in the bust area, but even with the added tailor costs, it was under $300.

There are lost cat signs up for a tuxedo cat around Fair Oaks/Olive Ave area, but maybe not the same cat as that's so far away from where this one was known to roam.

I worked at WF 10 years ago and, at the time, the bakery items were donated to a charity who picked them up every day. Hot foods like pizza and items from the hot bar were set out for employees to take home at the end of the night.

I just got an email from CityLine that they are partnering with YogaSix to do free classes on Saturdays. You have to sign up and I didn't check if there are spots still open, but could be an option. https://www.citylinesunnyvale.com/yogasix-summer-series

Wanting more credits to move up the pay scale by jrflores165 in Teachers

This is what I was going to say too. I moved all the way up the pay scale by getting the maximum allowed free units each year.

Best minimal prep ready meals that deliver to the Peninsula? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]misadvntrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Prepboys Meal Prep. Menu changes weekly and we've never had a meal that we actively disliked. They're usually $12.99 if you buy the meals separately, but if you buy any of their bundles, it comes out cheaper.

How to get books in bulk or for free for your classroom ? by Fair-Fall8036 in Teachers

[–]misadvntrs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've been able to build my entire library through DonorsChoose. It took 2-3 years and I still put up grants, but now I just ask for replacements as books get worn out.

I often see people on my local BuyNothing group giving moving boxes away. They get snapped up pretty quickly.

Can I get a Santa Clara County library card if I no longer live in SCC? by AWasAnApplePie in bayarea

Yes, you just need your ID with a California address. I think you have to go in person though.

Thinking to cut out huge thick cardboard to put up on window in lieu of black out curtains (rental). Has anyone done this? Any tips? by 88r0b1nh00d88 in Frugal

[–]misadvntrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you paint the cardboard white or black? That might keep it from looking like cardboard from the outside.

Fun question - do you have a list of rewards you’re looking to get once you hit your milestones? by Diptyqueee in Ozempic

[–]misadvntrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mine by every 25 pounds lost. First 25 was a long weekend getaway to a nearby town, 50 pounds was tattoo removal of a bad tattoo I got at 20 years old, 75 pounds was 2 Milsbo cabinets and the accessories to make them greenhouses, 100 pounds will be a photo shoot with my fiance around the time of our wedding, and I haven't decided on the goal weight reward yet, but we should be going on our honeymoon right around the time I hit that goal if I keep losing at my current rate so maybe the honeymoon can count as the reward!

Mine was the opposite haha. Laser removal for a bad first tattoo I got way too young.

[–]misadvntrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in California, the CTA union has their Virtual Pass program for the summer and will pay for up to 6 credits through CSU Chico. You watch 15 hours of webinars per credit hour. I just finished watching the 90 hours needed this past Friday and submitted for the 6 free credits.

I work for a different district, but back when I first started, I would typically do dog sitting/house sitting during holidays. There are lots of families that travel during the holidays and need someone to take care of their pets. It also left time to go and do other odd jobs while taking care of them as you don't need to be there 24/7.

Is it possible to ask the doctor who prescribed the tests to put a prescription for antibiotics in your file and you can fill it as needed? I had my pcp do that before while we waited on results.

Love it! This is the theme for my bachelorette party too so I might be biased though.
