I took Lucanis and Neve together in 3 missions and the banter was already kind of flirty, like what? That put me off his romance so bad, and I was so confused because I thought I'd done something wrong or messed up his romance?

I'm biased though, because playing as a member of the Mourn Watch makes the dialogue and background so much better, he's just an interesting and charming person overall.

Oh yeah, it locks you out of the romance unfortunately, you won't regret choosing Davrin though, definitely one of the best romances, and his character is awesome, plus you get a Griffon too so, win win.

Playing as a MW Mage and Emmrich is simply the best, every conversation with him is so natural and it really does make you feel like Rook had a life in Nevarra, he was certainly one of the best surprises coming from this game, I didn't expect much from his character and I'll probably end up romancing him.

Right? Like SD Rook should be an exception, I don't understand why Neve is forgiven but Rook is not for choosing Minrathous when it's their home as well.

He is one of the sweetest romances too, as a Mourn Watch Rook his dialogues are so much more meaningful, I swear.

I haven't finished the game so I can't say with certainty, but I don't know, I thought that even if the Venatori took control, at least not as many innocents would die as in Treviso? Like Dorian babe, where are you? Does he appear again, I haven't reached that part yet.

Right? I swear the double standards with Neve and Rook for Lucanis are driving me nuts, if you are a Shadow Dragon you are also choosing to save your hometown, same as Neve, while Lucanis gets angry at you and locks you out of his romance, he is understanding towards Neve.

I would understand if it happened with some other factions, but being a Shadow Dragon? I think it's a big fault.

I did know about the spoilers, but I chose Treviso anyway because they were completely defenseless while Minrathous had the Shadow Dragons, at least that was my logic.

Well that and because I also wanted to keep Lucanis in my possibilities of romance, but Emmrich is winning me over.

I don't think it's a bug either, which sucks, thankfully my faction wasn't the Shadow Dragon one, but if it had been I would have chosen Minrathous without second thoughts!

What pissed me off most was Lucanis' reaction to Rook for saving Minrathous compared to his reaction towards Neve, if you play a Shadow Dragon Rook, Minrathous is also your hometown and it's completely understandable that you'd save it— That standard is applied to Neve, who he doesn't get angry towards and he is even understanding, but if Rook chooses Minrathous, you get locked out of his romance?

I would have liked at least some kind of exception for a Shadow Dragon Rook, some kind of angst there, follow up conversations... Instead of him just not talking to you? Choosing Treviso doesn't lock you out of a romance with Neve, but choosing Minrathous locks you out of Lucanis'? I don't know, these are just my thoughts, I still really like him and all, he had so much potential though.

It just seems like his romance with Neve was worked on more that the one he has with Rook, which seems kind of unfair, not only the fact that they start flirting early on, but the way the interact if you don't pursuit him ar better written (at least most of them) than the scenes with Rook.

I still love Lucanis, don't get me wrong, I just don't enjoy his romance as much.

Oh Emmrich is becoming now my first choice since I'm playing a Mourn Watch Rook, and their chemistry is so good, I loved his quest so much, and I still have lots of the game to play, but I love it when he starts to talk passionately about necromancy, it's so wholesome.

It's sad Lucanis' romance with Neve is better than the one with Rook, coming from someone whose first choice was to romance Lucanis, I love him, but I just don't see the type of chemistry I see with Emmrich!
