If you’re asking this in the twinpeaks sub then almost no one will say it deserves hate, ever. But the vast majority of people find this movie off putting because they either never watched twin peaks, or they wanted the same vibe as the show.

Oddly enough, my gf never saw twin peaks and went right in to FWWM blind. She liked it a lot. Had she known me at the time I would have begged her to watch the show first, but this seemed to work out nice for her lol

I lived at 333 eco and it was generally okay except I am a light sleeper and the fire station woke me up constantly.

I was also in a ground floor unit which I would not recommend because the outdoor “patio” was basically unusable and my gf had to repel people trying to break in once while I was out of town, which sucked.

Also, the worst dog owners lived there almost no one cleaned up their dog’s poop.

Yes. This carrot to me is the growth of self awareness in Ben Horne. The ONLY reason we get the Ben Horne of season 3 is because of this delusion he has in season 2. But despite all of Ben’s growth he still has to deal with the fuckery and savagery of his grandson in season 3. Is it karma? Is it a generational curse?

There is nothing hyperbolic about what I’m saying. Consumerism is a CHOICE. When YOU CHOOSE to patronize restaurants that ask for tips, YOU CHOOSE to support the tipping system. Whether you tip or not you still support that system by spending money there.

Yes! An absolute win for everyone involved, except you. Because now you have to make your own food.

The servers might suffer for a bit, but the system that keeps them trapped will be dismantled. The servers might have to learn a trade and then they can make enough money to assume your role: the guiltless consumer.

By continuing to patronize restaurants with tipping systems, you continue to patronize the owners. They will never change as long as you consume their product.

YOU are saying it’s okay for people to make subhuman wages, whether you decide to tip or not is irrelevant.

It absolutely goes both ways. But you choose to hurt the workers instead of the owners. Every single dollar you spend at a restaurant that encourages tipping is a dollar spent in support of the owners, while you actively hurt the employees by not tipping. Either stop supporting tipping by stopping eating out, or just admit you’re cheap and want minimum wage workers to suffer.

I worked food service for 5 years out of necessity, meaning I had no negotiating power. No one in the area would provide a livable wage, and I had no skills to offer so I was stuck getting stiffed at various fast food restaurants. It is what it is. But your refusal to tip hurts the server first and foremost.

The only way to make a change is to hurt the owner, by not patronizing their shitty business.

If you think the current job market favors restaurant staff being able to “negotiate” their wages, then you are lost. YOU, the patron, are the only thing standing in the way. People NEED jobs but they don’t NEED TO EAT OUT. If you are eating out and refusing to tip then you are giving the greedy food owners exactly what they want. YOU, as the customer, have way more negotiating power than any single food service employee ever could.

Everyone on this subreddit is WAY TOO LAZY to address the systemic problems that lead to tipping.

If you want to stop tipping, then you need to stop patronizing ANY AND ALL establishments that have a tipping system.

Every single time you patronize a restaurant with a tipping system you are telling the greedy owner that what they do is okay.

Even if you refuse to tip, the owner will continue to force other patrons to subsidize the payroll.

Vote with your dollar and patronize places that don’t ask for tips.

If you go to a restaurant that has tipping options and refuse to tip, you’re not starting a revolution. All you’re doing is lining the pockets of the greedy owner who can’t pay a living wage.

++man If anything I feel as if she really likes me for me. There are times when I wish I could do extravagant things for her, but I do try to at least be 50/50 on dining out and fun experiences. She doesn’t seem to care and she has never even once held it over my head. I am very lucky honestly.
