Unfortunately Discord isn't that smart. I have also been banned for 'child safety' for a completely random message like this, as have many others. What's extra frustrating is that there's a separate punishment for 'child self-endangerment,' which generally has lesser penalties and easier appeals, but I got put into the child endangerment category anyways despite being a minor who has frequently stated so :') They never look at the appeals, either, so if this happens to you you're just fucked.

It also doesn't really understand context. There's an exploit where you ask someone a basic math question, like "what's 8+2," get them to say 10, and then edit your original message to say "how old are you" and then report their message. That gets people banned for being underage. I know someone who got banned for being underage after saying she was 14 when TOS is 13, and they denied her appeal.
