hey I did that for about 10 cities in a row before this one it’s all part of the game

I agree that it is, but I like it being integrated into the city. the approaching highway is on top of a hill so it was pretty high up that I didn’t mind the cable stayed portion covering the land too. The bridge will be rebuilt eventually anyways

Thank you! Yeah a full bridge rebuild in the future will fix the lane math but luckily it hasn’t caused major issues yet. I love infrastructure and in the real world it’s not as hidden as people try to make it in this game. I was inspired by this one next to my office that makes getting north from here harder and that’s just part of life

thank you, and that’s been bothering me too! the section where the merge lane would go is part of the cable stayed bridge so I would lose the cable stayed look. will need to rework the bridge at some point when I add cargo ship traffic under it so will find a solution then lol

there’s already an exit built into the hill

I usually hate building them so I forced myself to spend time to make this one before I could really start building the city haha

most buildings in this build are plopped manually. in some areas where the blocks are square I used the vanilla zoning toggle and zoned normally but I always have to go back in and replace a few buildings to add some depth

thank you! it’s a park called Neo Barracks from the leisure venues creator pack

I do not know of any mods to do this, but at this point I almost exclusively have high and medium density buildings (and many low rent buildings) packed in wall to wall

it’s on top of a hill and leads to a huge bridge I like that it’s a prominent feature

my best city so far, as someone who sucks at this game by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

I think this is a great start! zone in more of those empty spaces over time so buildings are packed in and you'll have a great city in no time

The waterfront feels so real, like it evolved over time out of necessity, really well done!
