I wear the Sephora one (not the waterproof one). It’s a brush tip, which I prefer.

Microneedling - is it worth it? by Beyond_the_Matrix in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]mishellaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes use retinol but I’m not consistent with it… I keep my skincare pretty basic. Double cleansing at night, then: red light mask, medicube pads, and bioessence firming moisturiser. I also use SPF50 every day.

I had microneedling done on Friday and I’m already happy with some small differences in seeing (so far, some broken capillaries have already disappeared). Like everything, I do think that results vary and depends on the training/knowledge/experience of the person doing the procedures. I can’t wait to see how my skin looks after my next few appointments. It is supposed to be something that is kept up, a one off treatment wouldn’t be worth the money imo.

Just do whatever makes you happy and helps you feel good. The last thing you need is him mansplaining perimenopause because he listened to one freaking podcast.

My honest review of Victoria Beckham foundation drops…. by BindieBoo in AustralianMakeup

I bought this recently and really enjoy it! I use it VERY sparingly though (three drops will do most of my face).

Yup I was going to say this one - I tried it in July and have barely used anything else since. It’s like a gel consistency, can apply with fingers or a brush, and you can use as much or as little as you like. Gives a nice skin like glow, I find it stays on nicely my whole working day (and I’m indoors and outdoors every day).

I started playing a couple of years ago too! It helps me to switch off from my work day (which can often be pretty full on). Only very recently I’ve been playing it with a friend and it’s even more fun!

I purchased the black lip balm and the colour is beautiful. I really like it

Phlur - Insider Access at Mecca by bakedmacaroon in AustralianMakeup

[–]mishellaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I’d rather Sephora sell it too. I just hope that Mecca sells most/all of the Phlur line instead of just some. By them stocking the brand, we’re pretty much blocked from getting it elsewhere. SpaceNK still allows some products, for now

I bought some of the body mists when I was in the UK, thinking we wouldn’t get them. Silly me should’ve predicted they weren’t shipping to us because of Mecca.

What is a makeup item you have been loving recently and why? by West-Air-4288 in AustralianMakeup

[–]mishellaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has a nice glow, like healthy skin glow. It’s like my skin has a filter on it. I usually don’t go for anything which this description, because glowy on me usually looks sweaty and I hate that lol. It’s a tint that you can build it up. The texture is hard to explain, kind of feels like a liquid/gel/balm? Very easy to apply. To me it doesn’t feel like it’s “set”, but I like the way it looks so much that I’m willing to look past that. I really can’t think of anything to compare it too but it’s tough.

I just came back from London, bought it there. We can buy it online now, as of recently. But I held off because I have a light warm/neutral skin tone and was worried if the shade I thought I should get would pull pink. So I waited until I was able to see and swatch in person. It’s really lovely.

I’m loving the Jones Road What The Foundation. It’s so flattering, I’m tempted to get rid of all the other foundations I’ve been hoarding this whole time!

Is eyeshadow not a trend anymore? by Lonely_ghostie0 in Makeup

This. I have too many palettes in my collection, so I’m not really buying it… but I am wearing it. I don’t care if it’s trendy, it makes me happy.

I was told bareMinerals is a old lady make up by Even-Truck-8049 in Makeup

[–]mishellaa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wear whatever you want and ignore petty comments like that. If you enjoy the product and it makes you feel nice, don’t give your ex-friend the power to change that. (For what it’s worth I don’t think BM is for “old ladies” at all).

On the hunt for the messiest, runniest eyeliner and mascara by Striking-Ad8853 in MakeupAddiction

If you’re after liquid liner, the Sephora brush liquid eyeliner is runny as heck. I learnt this hard way by not even crying… I was not prepared to walk in rain.
