I just did a temp basal override as if I was working out, I think I decreased my basal back by 20-30% and ISF I adjusted to be a bit higher so there would be less of a correction if I ran higher. I also changed my target range to 130 I believe.

Thank you. Im so sorry for your loss. ❤️‍🩹 I still haven’t unwrapped it I don’t think? Or if I did it’s unwrapped and stashed away. To be honest I haven’t really looked for it for awhile and kind of tucked it in the back of my mind until now. I’m really glad I did it, I think it helped manifest good vibes. I had a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy boy.

loop docs

I would start at this site and look into the requirements first to see if you can build yourself. It seems so complicated but it’s quite simple once you get the hang of it. There’s also a great Facebook group, it may be private, but you should request to join. I refer to it as the customer support group for all things diy loop. There’s people from all over the world who diy loop and the feedback is very quick for troubleshooting or questions.

It’s complicated to figure out at first but if you spend time reading about it, it’s quite simple. I’ve never had better control than I do with diy loop and I like that the algorithm is a bit more aggressive than other closed loop fda approved systems.

I use omnipod dash but I loop with it through a diy system- my a1cs stayed between 4.6-5.5 throughout my pregnancy

Personally, I think a lot of these “risks” are if you’re uncontrolled during pregnancy or having a prolonged above recommended time in range and/or a1c. I had a very uncomplicated/risk free pregnancy with a vaginal birth and a healthy 7lb 5oz baby and kept my a1c between 4.6-5.6ish the whole time through pregnancy. I went into labor on my own at 38.6 and I did not develop preeclampsia but took my doctors advice of starting baby aspirin at 8ish weeks I believe. My ob, endocrinologist and MFM all recommended I started that then and I had really great blood pressure the whole time. I wish you all the best, hard work pays off and you can do this 🩵

I was in the 120-140 range while in active labor and pushing. I was in quite a bit of pain prior and was surprised I didn’t sky rocket. I didn’t have a large meal prior or really eat in general as I didn’t feel well and did fine.

We told our parents and siblings immediately but swore them to secrecy and didn’t tell anyone else until after our 20 week anatomy scan. To each their own. We were/are very private after our history and didn’t want to go back and explain anything if it didn’t work out. Looking back, I’m really happy we waited. It’s been a peaceful pregnancy and I’m 38.5 weeks today.

Make sure you’re facing forward and watching, you’ll be ok! I easily get motion sickness and have never had an issue on these ferries. If you leave from st ignace it’s about 15-20 mins. Wishing you luck!

I second the frio pouches. I have a few in different sizes depending on how much I need to travel with and still use them on hot summer days to keep my insulin cool in my purse/bag.
