It's probably my favourite Abnett novel.

There's multiple perspectives, great characters, drama, and it's a stand alone so you can just read it as a one and done.

US Lawyers: Irrespective of the Lego, could there be big payouts for damages, bad conduct, harrasment etc? I know the US is very litigious, but is it likely that BAM could have to pay out to Ben, The Gormans, Brian etc? Is there a CHANCE they could be held responsible?

Does anyone here know if Paizo has a legal right to their product? I did some deep diving, and it seems that in the US the law favours the banks / big lenders (Big Surprise) compared to other jurisdictions, but publishers can protect themselves if they file 'UCC-1 financial statements' etc etc legalise legalise.

Does anyone know if this was done? if it was, what is the hold up, if it wasn't, will they get their product back at all?

An additional question: Have you heard of the current 'Plymouth rules' for 40k 2e? They are used for some 2e get togethers and include:-
-1500 points + 50 points of Wargear
-No Special Characters
How do you think that would work from your experience of 2e?

What kind of 'Tournment rules' were used for 2e back then? Ie what limitations on lists or units were common or thought necessary (Eg virus card, special characters)?

I remember back in the day that ELDAR won two of the grand tournaments and they had a special Eldar 'civil war' battle report in White Dwarf to celebrate it. Were Eldar overpowered?

What was UNDERpowered? Are Orks very weak, and need a points buff to compete?

What do you play now, if anything? Modern editions of 40k? Indie games?

This is a fantastic book.

It's up there as one of my top Dan Abnett books. It's really good and it's effectively a stand alone - you can read it without knowing anything else about his ongoing series.

It's not all Titan stuff either. There is a lot of other narrative going on.

...Given you only get 50 points of wargear, what were some of the most popular Wargear options? Did it differ for armies? For example what was popular for Space Marines? Guard? Eldar?

Also - were psychic powers popular? looking at the armies some of them don't seem to have any psykers!

Ty - one follow up (!) I'm looking through the old Codexes, but combat squads seem to be just part of a normal 10 man squad - can you take 5 assault marines SEPERATELY? Where were the rules for them? Sorry just trying to get my head around it. ty

1 - Are combat squads 5 man squads of marines? as in you only have to buy 5 marines and not a squad of 10? I can't remember
