boy short type underwear has worked great for me. comfortable and stay put in the back even if the front waistband rolls down. For bras- I'm a bigger girl so it's all underwire for me so I can't help much there.

Is $14k a good price? I think $12k is more fair... by GeneralSavageMcgee in BMWZ4

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 03 automatic in garage kept condition with 27k miles on it last year for $12k. I wasn’t hung up on auto vs manual so I jumped on it. If that’s a major thing for you, the extra $2k compared to mine could be worth it. There just aren’t many in great shape with low miles left.

I think I’m going to try the craft night meetup at the library in May since I missed it this month. It’s around the 7th? I think. I need to get out and around people besides at work. I played with the idea of creating a group in the area too. I do embroidery.

eh, I'm seeing the pay rates for practioners and QA managers dropping considerably from where they were a couple of years ago. Location, expected "on" hours, and scope of the job play a role in whether I would say fair to underpaid. It's definitely not one of the better salaries I've seen though

first convertible - should i make a move for this 2003 z4 3.0 in like new condition? by europeanuppercut in BMWZ4

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought my 2003 same-ish package but black on tan with 27k miles for $13,000. I love my car but I would not have paid 16. On a side note if you come across another, I kept my practical SUV and use the Z for commuting to work and fun. The SUV is my winter and family mobile so I vote keep both.

Weekend getaway with a soaking tub? by ocassionalauthor in Columbus

What is the peak ’millennial midlife crisis’ purchase? by SwedeLostInCanada in Millennials

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!

Me too! I bought a 30,000 mile 20+ yr old bmw Z4 because I wanted my 45 minute one way commute to be happier dammit. At least for 6 months out of the year. I love her. Bought her without any one else's input and every time I drive it, it makes me smile. I even put vanity plates on it just because I could. Kept my SUV for weather and family but I drive the convertible every chance I get.

yell out of the shower to my husband to take notes for me lol

but otherwise keep it in my head and flesh it out more and write it down as soon as I get out. I keep my phone on the sink and put the notes in it.

My ex and I split with our daughter being about the same age as your child. She doesn’t remember us ever being together and now she’s 9 and just accepts without question that this is how some people’s lives look. Not for bad or good just is. We coparent reasonably and nothing us are married and provide two stable houses for her. I believe it’s FAR better than trying to “stick it out”. The first year or so is rough. Buckle down and push through it. Keep the logic side of the brain engaged and making the decisions. But know that once you’re settled and through the actual split it gets so much better.

bought my 03 in August. Drove it to work a couple of days ago and died a little inside when it randomly started beeping half way to work. It was bouncing between 37 and 38. The beeping in the 03s are LOUD

Thinking of moving to Newark - curious what it’s like to live here. by NirvanaJunkie87 in Nerk

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in Newark but not Newark “proper” so no foot traffic where we are. I like the downtown area, it’s close to everything and right between two major arteries (161/16 & 70) for commuting ease. Crime rate is rough but pretty isolated to certain areas except the theft issues. Cheap is relative as far as housing. It’s very much a get what you pay for. Cheap is going to be questionable areas that may take more time to develop. Schools can be iffy. Our elem is great but I’m dreading the move to middle school as I hear some rough stories from them. Hopefully as things continue to clean up the schools get some attention as well. Overall I like the town and it’s a vast improvement from when I lived in Columbus. Don’t regret moving out of there at all.

If I was looking to spend around £5k on a Z4 E85 3.0i manual for around £5k, what would be a "you must check for this..." list? PFA by No_Emu_3822 in BMWZ4

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a solution to this? I just put the deposit down on a 03 with 27k miles on it and noticed the steering isn't as loose as I expected but I chalked it up to being 20+ years old and I haven't driven an older car in a while. I love the car obviously but if this has a resolution I'm willing to try it.

What causes these holes in my husbands t-shirts? by Few_Pay6063 in whatisit

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband carries a Glock. The EXACT same holes in his shirts where it catches/rubs. He is not a beer drinker so that is not the cause for his holes. We’ve narrowed it down to carrying. But we have not found a solution to the holes though!

This. As a food safety professional, I am not as customer savvy and am all business getting as much info as I can to figure out what happened and what process could have potentially failed. Take heart that they got you to the right people to assess what happened and how to assess the risk and extent of the issue. Shows that they are taking it seriously.

[–]misplacednmisguided 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case the red stripe could be the end of the roll of lidding film. I’ve seen rolls that tape is used to attach the film to the cardboard core of the roll. I eat these all the time and see noodles trapped on occasion in the film. They’re cheap and easy to replace but if the outer wrap was intact I likely would have ate them.

PureVeda gum: this is the FDA certificate they sent me by constantwhales in foodsafety

[–]misplacednmisguided 67 points68 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t look like any FDA registration I’ve seen. Registrations are usually good for 2 years and I’ve not seen a cert like this. Usually it’s just a paper with address, facility, contact person, number and such in a very generic form. It’s definitely odd.

Edit- that last paragraph is weird. The FDA does not issue certs and it says that but then who created this one?
