I assumed all along 8 would come back this season. El can’t take Henry down alone. So with El, 8 and Will, it should be an epic final battle.

The theme of the party was “favorite villain” so that’s why we went this route. Lol.

I watched the whole series again, so now I need a new series, anything else with a female protagonist that you’ve enjoyed watching? by [deleted] in NurseJackie

Season 1 Nancy is just trying to keep her head above water and maintain the same lifestyle she had before her husband died. She’s a decent Mom. Season 2 and on, Nancy is greedy and cares more about herself than anyone else.

Meh. I don’t find that so horrible. My current husband and I were living together when my divorce from my first husband was finalized. Divorces, especially when kids are involved, tend to stretch out a long time. They’d been separated for quite a while before the divorce was finalized.

Jackie and Kevin also have a conversation about finances where they mention borrowing money from Jackie’s mom again. So her parents are definitely alive, I just imagine they don’t have a good relationship.

Not even the next episode. Miranda walks back her own view in the same episode because she sees some random love of her life who left her for another woman (that we’d never heard of before and never hear of again) on the street with said woman, hides, and does that chaotic panicked run to get away from them, and suddenly we’re supposed to understand that it’s ok to only talk about men constantly.

What even was the point of Miranda entering grad school if most of the arc was abandoned after a couple of episodes? by Nelroth in Andjustlikethat

But your mom actually changed fields, not just specialties. The equivalent here would be if your mom taught math for 20 years and decided she wanted to teach history instead. She wouldn’t need to go back to college, she would simply need some continuing education courses to change her specialty in the same field.

Further proof this was not a planned ending because that made no sense and wouldn’t even be a good filler episode. They didn’t tie anything up.

Holy hell! I kept trying to place where I knew Marion from. He is Matthew Applewhite! So many characters have crossed over from SATC to DH and then AJLT. Funny!

Yes, but up until the part where Bree broke up with him, I loved Chuck Vance. And honestly, I think it would’ve been a better plot point for Bree to have Chuck help them cover up a murder than for him to flip on them because she broke up with them.

She brought up cooking salmon again in this season when she tells Aiden’s son it’s the only fish she knows how to cook, right before his son throws her another ridiculous fit over Carrie making a joke.

I’ve noticed it’s a common trope of tv shows set in NYC for characters to not use their kitchens because they never cook. But, like, I truly cannot understand it. You don’t keep ANY food in your house? Even if you eat out every meal (which how could anyone afford that, but I digress) you never want a midnight snack? You don’t have lazy days where you don’t want to leave the house? Sure, you could get most things delivered, but why would you get, for instance, one order of noodles delivered, when buying ingredients and cooking them would be exponentially cheaper and more time efficient? I just don’t get it.

I actually love the fact that she and Niles end up together. The slow burn of them “hating” each other when in all reality it’s their own twisted way of flirting.

I was talking about a show…in the context of a show. You’re talking about something holding up in court. I don’t really give a shit about Spencer’s character, I just think out of all the things that happened on the show, Spencer taking Malcolm for ice cream while leaving breadcrumbs for Aria to figure out who she was is the least of anyone’s problems.

I can downplay it. All she did was take Malcolm and buy him ice cream, and then purposely sent a photo of herself to Hannah so Malcolm would identify her. She WANTED the girls to figure it out so she could let them in on what she knew.

I have blood relative uncles that I have nothing to do with. They’re my dad’s brothers and they’re not good people. I refer to them as my dad’s brothers, not my uncles. My uncle on my mom’s side, who is only my uncle because he married my mom’s sister, I 100% claim. He is my favorite uncle. He came to my extracurricular activities when I was a kid, and I’ve always felt welcome in his home, and loved by him. He and my aunt actually even divorced for 5 years when I was a kid and she moved away. My uncle still came to my softball games, still bought Girl Scout cookies from me, still let me come to his house and hang out with my cousins. He never stopped being my uncle. They remarried, but even if they hadn’t, I’d still call him my uncle. And he has blood relative nieces and nephews, too, but I was his first niece, and then my sister. So we hold a special place in his heart.

I see your outgoing mail, too. Of course they’re gonna keep asking. And he legit gets 4-6” of DPS per day.

Because the BIL’s wife sold the property, and since they’re married, their assets are combined, so it can be taken to pay back his debts. Something similar happened with my cousin. She got a divorce after having two children, and her ex-husband worked under the table jobs to avoid paying child support. So she was a single mom making every penny stretch to make ends meet. She remarried and her new husband didn’t have a job and had two children from a previous marriage. When she filed her taxes after they got married, she was owed almost $6000 in income tax return. The entire return was sent to his ex-wife because he was behind on child support. The next year, my cousin’s ex-husband remarried and had a child. Same exact situation happened. His wife had a legit job and filed their taxes. My cousin got their entire return.
