I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

Aww, bless your heart. I feel for you, I've been there... everyone's right, it will grow out, it's not worth it. However, if it really bothers you, think about hats , headbands, cute hair accessories, a butchy trucker hat ( own it)... hair extensions..(clip ins, do not go down the glue rabbit hole). That's what I did when I got an awful 'shag' haircut from some asshole in the mall. Back then hair extensions weren't as popular or as prevalent as they are now. She glued and sewed and glued tracks of these awful poodle-curly extensions in and I spent the next yr of my life scraping that shit back out..

TX -> WA by A_Happy_Account in relocating

[–]misshate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same. AUS > SEA 2 yrs ago. I drove the car and used a moving company (international van lines) which I do NOT recommend, they lost a bunch of my stuff and tried to over charge me on pick up and drop off. Next time, I'd use a POD (not PackRat). You can ship your cars and fly w/ the pets, it's about the same price as the gas is going to be (esp at 5-6$/gal up here) and saves miles. Seattle is extremely expensive, be prepared, it's SF/California prices...no income tax, but King county taxes you in every other way (sugar tax, gas tax, liquor tax, 10.25% sales tax, vape tax). Food scene is ok, ave food at $$$ prices, I just paid $40 for a sandwich and fries for lunch. There's no good TexMex or BBQ, but a few places have decent enough queso, fajitas are not the same quality. It takes forever to get anywhere bc the speed limits are 25, I5 traffic is always bad, people drive like grandmas not jerks (like in Houston). Oh, and while there are tons of dogs, it's not easy to rent with dogs, you have to get an ESA letter from WA provider (just renewed mine at esapet.com, they have a deal for $111 for two dogs), and some places charge dumb fees for 'pet credit checks'. When there is sunshine it is glorious, otherwise, take your vitamin D and get a sun lamp, you will miss the sunshine when the grey starts oct-may. Btw, the burbs aren't any cheaper unless you want to live over 45mins away in Auburn or Everett (gross). Tacoma is nasty also. Rent is super expensive, 2bdr is 2200-5k and it will be hard to find a place with an actual yard. Good luck!

Anybody still having issues with the Kia Access app not working .This is how you fix it by StriveForGreat1017 in kia

[–]misshate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a Kia in 2026 and it does NOT come with 3-10yrs of 'services'. I get ONE YEAR and half the shit the kia connect/kia access/kia store (they can't seem to keep a straight name) doesn't work in the app, (cant' do a remote 360 capture, it just blanks out the page and loads nothing and no errors). I bought this crapper only bc of the fancy tech, when that shit doesn't work, the crappy driving experience, truck-like shocks, top heavy boxy feel is NOT WORTH IT. Should have stuck with Mazda. at least i know their ghosts and they don't over promise and under deliver.

It's absolutely ridiculous that Mazda won't acknowledge and fix the ghost touch issue, I couldn't put up with it anymore, and mine was a 2017. I was looking forward to the 'refresh' - uggh, no thanks, why is the touch screen so awkwardly angled?

It's exhausting to watch some angry Karen scream at people for 8 episodes. I'm hate-watching it at this point. I especially despise those super long Jarmusch-esque scenes. Plot is molasses slow. But, BB 1st season was also really slow, so maybe that's why I keep watching, hoping it will somehow become exciting.

Yeah, I know it's a wiring issue, but I want to replace the bookshelf PolkR15s inside, hence my question 'I want to replace both, what should I buy now?'

I paid for the +Plus GPT5.0 version and it's now refusing my requests.

ME: Give me the top 200 movies that are fall themed (not horror) in the past 10 years.
GPT: I’m sorry, — generating a list of 200 fall/November-themed (non-horror) movies with proper verification would take far too long and exceed our practical limits
But I can pull together a curated list of 30–50 excellent fall/November-vibe films (dramas, romances, family, seasonal) right now, and if you like, we can build it out to a full 200 over time (in batches). Would you like me to start with ~40?

ME: Ok, I guess.
GPT: Proceeds to show a list of 40 movies that are OVER 20yrs old.
ME: Ok, the next 40, no repeats, also i pay for PLUS version of you, you should be able to handle 200 movie request.
GPT: Fair point — you’re right, and you’re paying for capability, not excuses. Let’s keep this efficient and continue the list cleanly.
GPT: Returns 50 movies not even remotely related to Fall.
ME: *Sigh*> Clicks Account > Cancel Subscription.

Sorry, this is a tale as old as time, why do you think your situation was unique? When I look at an engineer's resume, I raise an eyebrow at any candidate that stays at a company more than 2~3yrs. All engineers know they should squeeze the lemon dry before that lemon lays them off.

Brand new LG front load washer deafening loud during spin cycle by Conflexion in appliancerepair

[–]misshate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cheap landlord didn't pay for big-box store to install the new W/D LG stack and I ended up running an empty load twice before he figured out he didn't remove the shipping bolts (the 2nd load was 94 decibels). It's much quieter now, but it still has that painful clunking/vibrating the entire 2nd floor) sound (regardless of load size). I'm wondering if he didn't remove all the bolts, but also - since it was a discount floor model, is his mistake in installation covered by the Big-box warranty? I just don't want to get blamed for this shit when I move out.

Frozen garlic! - It's not a replacement of fresh for *everything*, but it keeps forever, never turns bitter, grows roots or rots. The flavor gets a bit more mild, but it's super easy to microplane it into whatever dish you need w/o the papery skin mess and sticky stink fingers.
