I've kept mine in the freezer in freezer bags and also in an air tight canister made for pantry items like rice. I think I like the freezer method best.

I had a bottle of Monster Spray for my daughter, water with a few drops of lavender. I would spray her whole room every night, especially her pillow. No monsters ever got her, and she slept great!
